¡! I'm so sorry if this confuses any of you, but I've decided to change her name to Taylor instead of Mia beacause i think it fits better, so from this chapter on, it will be Taylor as the main person. ¡!

Ever since the accident I didn't feel like myself, it was like something about me had changed, I mean of course the fact about the racing part, but i just didn't seem like myself.

"Girl, you've just been in an accident with potential trauma, it's not unusual to not feel like yourself." She tried to cheer me up.

Everyone had tried to keep me happy, but I just couldn't, I couldn't come up with a real, warm smile. All of those times I were 'smiling', it was all fake, nothing about it was real.

I was in deep shit right now and there is nothing I can do about it. My dad was super disappointed in me, I could tell. But deep down I know he only wants what's best for me and max. He wants us to have a good life, he's just not really good at showing it.

I couldn't focus on anything, my head was spinning and everything Kelly said just went blurry, her voice was weird and I lost my consciousness quickly.

I heard steps running inside, and assumed it was the doctor. Then, I didn't hear anything else for the next seven hours or so.

For me, the morning came quickly and the sun was shining. The doctor was already there to greet me as I woke up.

"Good morning Ms Verstappen. You fainted last night, but there is nothing to worry about, you where overwhelmed so the best thing for you now is to not have so many visitors at the same time."

"You can go home today, but you have to rest for at least the next 8 weeks. Don't do anything dangerous, that can make this process even longer."

"Thank you. But you have to understand, I'm leaving the country. Don't worry I'm not going back and forth, I just need a little break from my family."

"That should be fine, you can leave whenever you're ready." He informed me and left.

Charles had called me this morning. He wanted me to stay in his apartment in Monaco. He told me that his brother Arthur who raced in another team in Formula 2 would be home for a long time until the last race after Monza.

He was offering to fly home with him today, even though he was headed to Monza.

Naturally I answered yes and he came to pick me up a few hours later.

After about two hours of flying we landed in nice and drove to his apartment in Monaco. He helped me with the crutches and up to the top floor where his appartement was.

"Make yourself at home." He turned the keys around and opened the door into his hallway. I went around, limping on my crutches, exploring  my new home for the next three months.

It was so exhausting to walk around with those crutches, my hands were literally burning. I just wish that these next three months would go by fast.

Charles had brought some pain killers home if my leg started hurting, so I took one of those pills before falling straight asleep on the couch, while Charles was trying to make space in his closet.

My nap lasted for a few hours so by the time I woke up, it was already time for dinner.

I smelled something in the kitchen burning. "It's okay! I have control, don't worry." He started saying while waving the pan around to put the fire out.

"Charles, it's literally on fire. You need to put it under cold water." I calmly said what he had to do.

"But then the food will be ruined!" He explained to me, without even thinking that the food was burnt.
