The new Jones

It has been a tiring day. a lot of people came up to me that day. A bunch of guys kept going up to me and asking my number. Now my phone has a gazillion of contacts. Even the popular girls in school are asking if I'm willing to join the cheer leading group. I decide to ignore these people, but then these guys keep following me around. John was absent today, seems like he got a fever from yesterday. I just realize I haven't returned his hoodie. Andy congratulates me for the success of making me into a acceptable person in the society. Its night time and I'm tired i decide to sleep. I also notice my dreams with prince charming don't happen often anymore. It's usually flashbacks or I don't have sleep at all. I lie on my bed and slowly doze off into a deep sleep.

Its the younger me again. I look happier this time, it looked like I was playing with a little boy.I couldn't see how he looked like. It looked like the flash back was a little blurry. We were playing until all of the sudden I accidentally trip. the little boy runs up to the younger me.

"Katie are you all right?" he starts to cry out of worry.

"It hurts" she cries out.

"I know what to do, mommy used to kiss my boo boo when it hurts." he starts to sniffle. the little boy starts to bend over slowly and kisses the younger me's wound.

"Thank you....."

I was cut of by the sudden sound of an object falling on the ground. I was awoken By the storm outside, it looked like a tree branch fell on the ground. I hear Ian crying, I soon remember that Ian is afraid of thunder. I run to his room and comfort him. When the was finally storm is over I walk to my room and take a short nap.

Its early morning, I dress up as fast as I can and grab John's jacket. I decide to return his jacket, I text him to let him know that I'm headed to his house. I also leave a note to my parents letting them know that I went to school early because of a "project" I sneak out of the house as quiet as possible. I walk to John's house. It was a two storey house with a light blue color. I walk around the house and deduce to where his room could be. There were two windows one was with blue curtains the other was with green curtains. I get a tiny pebble and toss it to the window with the blue curtain. I hope it's the right one. When I do toss it, I see an older man walking to the window. I run for the the bush and hide behind it. After a few minutes he goes back. I see a person opening the window with the green curtains. It was John, he stragically climbs down. When he lands he walks up to me and smiles.

"Hey, you have new hair!" He exclaims.

"Yeah! Since two days ago." I smile.

"Really? I didn't notice that night, it was dark. Well, you look." He looks at me again. "Beautiful."

"Thanks" I blush and turn away from him. "Here your jacket." I toss it to him.

"Thanks" he chuckles.

John and I walk to school together.

"So, are you still planning to join art club." John asks.

'Yup, how about you?" I ask

"I'm joining," he tells me. "Let's sign up later."

As we enter the school, I feel a lot of people looking at me again. When I gaze at John quickly. I see that his expression has changed. He looked like he was trying to protect something.

"John," I whisper " are you okay?"

"Kate look around you " he told me.

When I look up i see a lot of guys giving me flirtatious looks. I feel someone's arm around my shoulder.

"Hey Jones," its Andy. He was looking at me with a huge smile on his face.

"Oh Baker, I didn't see you there." He chuckles as he chews his gum. John doesn't answer him, he just glares at him.
