The space traveler

Chapter 1 - Surviving the arrival

Mikey had just arrived to Dimension X with the only mission of saving Leatherhead from the imprisonment of the Kraang, the portal back home suddenly shuts closed and he realized he's trapped in that weird and scary world, he freaks out for a bit until he realizes that there's not much to do, so he pushes himself deeper into the unknown of that odd place painted with silver and pink landscapes and the most strange of creatures he's ever seen, nothing really makes sense, the laws of physics are non-existent, the "nature" works in the most bizarre ways imaginable, the world is literally upside down, the sights can be both amazing and terrifying, the appearance of the crystals is beautiful and quite amusing but it's quite hard to focus only on that when there's literally chunks of islands floating mid-air, everything can be a threat or a resource.

He wondered through those lands for days and days when he finally found a hidden cave to take shelter in, he fed himself with disgusting alien bugs that didn't taste too bad, they were kind of tasteless and some had a pinch of sweet or citric to it, even if it wasn't really good he ate them anyway, better eat gross stuff than painfully and slowly dying of hunger, he explored that world and discovered many tricks of how to survive there, he learned many things there, how the place worked, what animal were edibles and what were not, ways to use some bugs to move around the landscapes, and even how to use his surroundings to fight enemies better, it was a long adaptation period for him but he managed it, always keeping calm and hopeful that his brothers were coming for him, he just had to wait and see.

Before he even realized, 3 months had passed, he still had his T-phone, so he was able to count the days passing before it ran out of battery, but he already had developed some sort of sense of awareness of time, so he kept counting... and counting... and counting... he was running out of hope, he was barely going by, hiding himself from the Kraang the best he could, until one day, they caught him and Mikey was captured, it was horrible, they tried to experiment on him, but he kept fighting on for his life, the only good thing that came out of this was that he met Leatherhead again, he was being held in the cell across his and they were able to do some catching up while imprisoned, it was hard but at least they found some comfort in eachother, knowing that his friend would always be there and speak up for them and even fight if necessary, there was not much they could do besides being there for eachother.

One day, Leatherhead went against the Kraang's wishes, but this time, they tortured him for it, it was brutal to watch, Mikey called out to his friend as he fell onto the ground, motionless, Mikey screamed and cried, unsure if he was ok or even alive, they took him away and didn't return for days, Mikey assumed the worst, about a week later, the alarms of the base went of, Mikey's eyes glimmered with hope after it had been so long lost, maybe, just maybe, it was his brothers, coming to his rescue, but he was wrong, soon enough, a bunch of aliens showed up, checking every cell until they found his, Michelangelo was scared and confused but when one of them decided to stand out their hand to help, he didn't really thinked twice before accepting the offer, and he and the small group of invaders ran out of that awful place, jumping in a stolen ship and flying away as fast as they could, once they were far enough, they hid away from sight, knowing that it was a matter of time before got tracked down by the Kraang's ship system, but they had time to introduce themselves to Michaelangelo before leaving.

Himotuara, a blue mushroom looking alien, she is very serene and friendly, also a professional ship pilot despite not having eyes.

Jukin, a fury alien that Mikey associated his looks with a bear, he is big, strong and threatening but had a goofball personality and some awesome fighting skills.

Snikolas, a scaly, reptile looking alien with multiple eyes and extra arms, he's a great shooter with an incredible aim, he's brave and charismatic.

Morganite, a shape-shifting alien, his two arms are composed by four thin tentacles that he can also use them as individual limbs, he's a bit weird but strangely charming.

The four aliens get on Mikey's good side and he is quick to befriend them all since they literally just saved his life back there, they don't really have much time since some Kraang ships are quickly approaching, the five of them run away, still hiding from the brain robots, they make their way to a small camp they had set for themselves, sadly, there was no place for Mikey to sleep, but after he looked into the horizon, he found some familiar locations and references of where they were, he realized that his hidden cave was probably not too far away from that place, he warned his new friends about this fact Jukin volunteered to go with him to his hiding spot to get his stuff, so Mikey and Jukin go there and manage to retrieve Michelangelo's belongings and they soon return to the camp, as the others were preparing to settle for today, they all sit around a blue campfire as the sky went a bit darker, they start talking to eachother to break the ice.

🟠-"Why did you guys save me?"

🟠-"What is going to happen now?"

🟠-"What exactly do you want from me?"

🟠-"Why can't you all move into my cave with me, where is more safe than staying vulnerable and out in the open?"

Mikey asked these, among many other questions, trying to understand what is happening and what is still going to happen, they aswer with simple answers.

"Because it felt like the right thing to do."

"Not sure, but we're working something out."

"Nothing really, maybe just a little help would do."

But the last question mentioned, their answer was... quite unexpected...

"Because this is the only place that we can open worm hole."

"A... worm hole?! Like... a portal?! You guys can open a portal from here?!?"
Mikey asked in shock and surprise.

Yep. their plan is to scape Dimension X through a worm hole, but why's that? a worm hole can take them anywhere at random and the chance of this place being any of their homes in miniscule, almost nonexistent, why take that risk instead of trying to use the Kraang's own portals to find their way home? I'll tell you, they can't go home, Himotuara's home was completely taken over by a whole other population of aliens, Jukin was exiled as a punishment for a minor crime he commited, Snikolas' home planet was destroyed by enemies, as for Morganite, he ran away from his home to not face consequences for a mistake he made in the past, so they were all banished to that dimension by either their people in hopes that the Kraang would kill them or they just needed a place to hide, Mikey felt simpathy for his new buds and decided to stick around to help and see how this will go.
