The space traveler

Chapter 4 - Starting off new

Mikey was unconcious for a few days, in the meantime, Himotuara and Morganite woke up and reasoned with the heads of the planet, they explained their situation, how they're just a group of exiles trying to find shelter, how they just scaped from a hostile dimension, and how they're still figuring out what to do next since they have absolutely nothing planned, since, let's all be honest, jumping heads first into a random corner of the entire cosmos is "a bit" unpredictable, so making plans is quite complicated because of how hard it is to predict the type of environment they were going to end up in.

So by the time Mikey woke up, everything was mostly settled, they received some suport from a shelter facility, medical help and they're going to get some directions and space maps for them to move as soon as they all fully recover. 

Mikey woke up with a respiration device attatched to his neck, it was nothing like a breathing mask or anything he ever saw on Earth, it was like a a tube plugged into his neck, right below his chin, he had just woken up so the shock nearly sent him into a panic if it wasn't for Himo, who calmed him down before he could freak out too much, it was comforting for him to have someone by his side.

Himo - "So, how was your sleep?"

Mikey - "It was good... where's everyone?"

Himo - "The others are asleep, but Morganite already got out of bed a while ago."

Mikey - "Is everyone ok?"

Himo - "They're as fine as they can be on the moment."

Mikey - ".... is that a good or a bad sign?..."

Himo - "Hahahaha, they're all fine, Michelangelo."

Mikey - "Oh! Ok, good to know."

Mikey got up in his feet and decided to explore the planet, a guide accompanied him to give Mikey and Himotuara a tour around the alien town, the city was big, but surprisingly not as tech savvy as he would expect, the people were more focused on fighting and protecting the planet from any possible threat, when the worm hole spit Mikey and his friends out, the people feared it might have been an attack or that the squad was some kind of spy crew, but after some evaluating of their situation and some serious interrogating, they came to conclude that they were harmless and decided to assist them, at least until they are in a good enough shape to leave the planet by themselves.

During those few days, Mikey enjoyed many events and visited a bunch of places in that strange new world, learning a lot about their history and culture in the process, the people are called the Lorgmarak, they are descendans from an artificial species created to be servants, they eventually rebeled against their creators and ran off to start a civilization of their own, far away from the ones that once ruled them, they have lived in relative peace ever since, with just some conflicts over territory and invasion attempts from other planets, but they have all been safe and sound outside of that, they've been advancing their technology and society since then.

In between the historical buildings, Mikey visited a museum like place where he got a deeper dive on the local culture, Himotuara met him there and called him over to the Lorgmarak's base, their friends have already recovered and they now had to decide what path they would choose to go from there, it was a hard choice for them all to make, their homes are mostly destroyed or colonized and their not very sure where to go, but after a while of thinking, they all came to their own conclusions on what they wanted.

Himotuara decided to go to Yuterias, a planet known for having shelters for space refugees, she just wants a place to settle down and call home.

Jukin and Snick decide to enlist on the Intergalatic Army together since they were military in their home planets, and to maybe one day defeat their enemies.

Morganite decides to return to his home planet to pay for the crime he commited, he finally realized that he has to learn from his mistake and face the consequences of such.

Mikey was quiet for a moment, until he finally figured out what to say.

Mikey - "I want to start over, my life, I mean. You can send me wherever, but I want to have my own new identity so I can live the rest of my days in peace."

Having that said, the Lorgmaraks helped him create something like a space ID, he inserted only the obligatory info and some personal data, but he gave himself a different name.

Milo Theseus.

Milo is the first and last letters of his name and Theseus is a name from Greek mythology, for as far as Michelangelo knew, Theseus was a warrior that fought for his people tirelessly until being exiled for life, and Mikey, the way he is, felt like that would be a suitable name for himself, since for as far as he knows, his family just ditched him in a random dimension and left him to die there for over a year, he was abbandoned for no apparent reason and he was too worked up about everything to try and figure out why anymore, so he just accepted that he was not wanted and decided to move on and leave everything behind, metaphorically leaving this life to the next.

Once he was all settled, he was gifted a small spaceship, a bit of space money and some basic resources to live off of until he finds himself a better living condition, and with nothing but that, he flies off into space in search of a meaning to his life, which he eventually finds, a community of space nomads welcome him into their group, but despite being nomads they still had a base, a mothership where they could go if the situation got tough, it was like a big beehive, filled with homes and selfbuilt business like stores and stuff, it was perfect for Mikey, he got himself a place to stay and a ton of new friends to make, their welcoming aura made him get used to the place quite quickly and he becomes a valuable member of the community, he gets a job as a "Collector", his job is to go to deserted planets and old spaceship wrecks collect anything useful he can find, like remains of technologic equipment, resources, emergency kits, mechanical pieces and etc.

He was living a pretty neat life, with a new found family, new friends, new name, and a new life, Milo, for a long time he lived happily, until in one of his missions, he unfortunately meets some faces from the past....
