The Date.

Y/N and the once-ler have known each other since they were kids. Now, they were married ans unhappy. The oncler was a total dick who didn't like trees, and Y/N loved them. However, the oncler was not at all disgusted or appalled by Y/N's tree colored hair, which she dyed every other day. He was actually very attracted to it, finding that it matched her wacky, tree-loving personality.

One major problem in their marriage was the fact that the onceler still asked her to chop down a shit ton of trees with him, despite knowing how she felt about them. Her affair with the tree-loving lorax wasn't helping their marriage either. Actually, she was beginning to think of him more as husband material than a side piece. Y/N loved the way the lorax defended the trees, it was so hot to her. He was like the daddy of trees, and she wanted him to be hers, too.

However, the onceler had a plan to win her over. He was going to set up the most romantic, toe-curlingly awesome dare ever. He would even choose a place with beautiful living trees.

Now, you may think that he'd already killed every tree at this point, but that isn't at all true. He'd left a few for his beautiful wife to enjoy (not in a siggy shade way. If ykyk). You may think that's sweet and so awesome of him, but there's something much more sinister at play.

Y/n excitedly got ready for the date, ignoring the growing number of missed calls from The Lorax trying to warn her. Finally, her bright pink  hair was tied and styled into a neat bun with glittering accessories. She wore a blue dress with a V-neckline that was just above the knees. She paired the dress with fishnets, long white gloves, and of course, a matching thneef.  Her eyeliner was sharp with an aqua blue eye shadow to match her outfit.

When Y/n arrived at their meeting spot, she looked around in awe. "The trees are beautiful..." she whispered, absolutely breath taken.

"Not as beautiful as you, darling." The oncler said, wrapping his hands around her waist from behind. She laughed nervously, flustered by the oncler's romantics.

"Come, I have much to show you" He smiled, grabbing y/n's hand and spinning her around so he could lead her down the path. From the trees, the Lorax watched them.

Y/N was beginning to remember why she fell in love with the oncler in the first place. He was so charming, and his smile was one of a kind. Plus, he was rich.

As they walked down the path, a show of fountains and lights were displayed, only making Y/n more impressed.

"All this for me?"

"Yes, my love. All for you."

Y/N was beginning to regret the affair. She realized, now, that the onceler truly did care for her, despite dismissing her concern and love for trees. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all...

("How Bad Can I be" starts playing)

As they reached the end of the path, Y/n saw a beautiful gazebo decorated by flowers—all of Y/n's favorites—vines, and fairy lights. The food looked absolutely scrumptious and the plates were of the finest, non-fragile material known to man. Y/n squealed in excitement and hugged the onceler. "Babe Thank you!! I can't believe all of this is for me!"

He chuckled softly and gave Y/n a small kiss on the cheek. "Of course my love, only the best for you."

She smiled and let him pull her chair out for her. "Aw, what a gentleman," she teased, which made him blush a bit. The oncler sat across from her, and they talked and laughed through to sunrise. Y/N never realized just how funny her husband was. He was always too busy chopping down trees to spend time with her.

The lorax frowned, listening to them talk and laugh—just enjoy each other's presence. He wanted Y/N to be all his. He wanted her to be Mrs. Lorax, not Mrs. oncler! Y/n was his... she'd chosen him over the onceler multiple times, so why now?! The lorax let out a frustrated sigh and began to plot.

A/N:

I have many regrets in life, but I will never regret anything more than this. This is simply atrocious.
