A.N.- Wow it's been awhile. With school and everything it's hard to write. Sorry for the shortness, I'm a little stuck. So this was supost to lead uo to one of two things. Option 1- He has some kind of power that he's hiding. Maybe some fanasty? Option 2- We skip a few years and his secret is that he is only out of the comma for a short period of time and will slip back in soon. Maybe they are in love? Any other ideas PLEASE COMMENT! Thanks!

I drop my shoulders automatically into a slump and walk towards William.

"Oh my gosh, what happened" I say biting my button lip and staring at the already black and blue eye. William simply tilts his small head. I'm about to question him again when he speaks up.

"What do you mean, Amandla?" William questions with huge innocents. I stare at him like he's lost his mind.

"You-Your eye..." I continue confused and worried.

"Hm? Oh, Dalton... what's the word he used... punched me." He smiled. I raise an eyebrow so very confused.

"Well, why are you smiling!? I'll kill him for this, I swear-" I get cut off before I have time to start my rant,

"He said it looked cool that way." He explains also baffled "But, now that you say something it does hurt a little."

"A little?" I look at his face closer "Are you still taking medicine from the operation?"

"Yeah, why?" He asks picking at his nails.

"Never mind" I say worried his mother will be mad that I let him get hurt. We start walking as I continue "William, you're a good kid you know that right? Well, the world's tough and bad people tend to pick on good kids. So if anyone else bothers you tell me, okay?"

"Alright, the other kids aren't as nice as you are though." William says a bit of sadness edging his voice.

I bite my lip at the thought. "It's okay, it really is. One day, they are going to see how special you are. I promise."

He looks up at me frightened by my words and stops, his shoes scraping the gravel.

"What?" I look back baffled.

"It-It's just... How am I special exactly?" he says looking terrified.

"Um, just that your new and the comma and stuff. That's all right?" I question looking into his eyes.

"Oh, yeah yeah! Of course!" He says trying to play it down but, I know there's more. His eyes twitch to the sides. He's lying to me.

We pick up the pace and walk home. I eye him suspiciously as he twists his hands nervously.

He's lying to me. There is more, much more.
