And the Day After, for Good Measure

When Yuri wakes up, he finds he's holding Vladimir with both arms. He blushes when he realizes the Incubus has his face buried in the priest's chest and is practically using him as a body pillow. Perhaps Yuri should come to accept this, given the demon's nature. Even so, as embarrassed as he is, he can't help but think the affection is a little endearing.

He hopes Vladimir is a heavy sleeper, because the priest needs to get to work. He ponders the easiest method of getting free while the demon is wrapped around him like a boa constrictor. He definitely doesn't want to wake him up; the poor man needs to rest. Before he can stop himself, he finds himself placing a soft kiss to the top of Vladimir's head as an apology, hearing the demon purr in his sleep after he does so. He chuckles, slowly pulling himself free from the demon's limbs as carefully as he can.

Once free, Yuri wraps the blankets back around Vladimir. Luckily he's still asleep, and the priest notices how much more relaxed the Incubus looks. He still looks a little unwell, but Yuri's relieved to see he's starting to recover.

He stretches, walking to his dresser and quietly opening it to get some clean robes to wear before self-consciously changing into them, wondering in the back of his mind if Vladimir is faking sleep and watching him. Luckily when Yuri looks in the mirror, he's still peacefully asleep. The priest smiles at that.

He is kind of cute.

Immediately Yuri shakes his head to get rid of the thought. On top of being a demon, the Incubus is also male, and having those types of thoughts was frowned upon in some churches. He reminds himself that Price didn't seem to care about that sort of thing; the man only cared about whether one was a good person or not. Either way, Yuri pushes the thought down and goes to leave before stopping.

He should leave a note in case Vladimir wakes up and thinks he's been abandoned again. Yuri digs out a piece of paper and a pen from his drawer, quickly writing a note to the Incubus and placing it on the nightstand. He whispers goodbye before he goes to meet Soap.

"So, how's the lad doing?" Soap asks as he sweeps the floor. Today was the day he and Yuri cleaned the church.

"Sleeping, but I think he's recovering a little," Yuri replies, dusting the shelves. "His nose stopped bleeding, and he actually woke up briefly last night."

"Good that he's alive. Ye get his name?"

"Vladimir Makarov. But... he told me to call him Volodya."

The Scotsman chuckles while emptying the dustpan. "Sounds like he's got a crush on you."

Yuri doesn't respond since he's positive his friend is right. Especially since Vladimir kissed him last night, but he'd be damned if he told anyone about that. He blushes before changing the subject: "A-anyway, do you think I should let Father Price know? About Volodya, I mean."

Soap smiles when Yuri uses Vladimir's nickname, but he decides to let that go and answer the man's question. "In time. If I were you, I'd wait 'til he's fully recovered. Then both of you can talk to him." He pauses as he thinks. "Though if he does ask, ye should tell him the truth."

"Thank you," Yuri says softly. When his friend mentions 'the truth', he can't help but wonder if he should tell Soap that Vladimir is an Incubus before remembering the demon telling him he was left in front of the church in the hopes he would be exorcised, and decides against it.

As the two finish their work, Yuri wonders why he's starting to care so much about a stranger he just met. He also worries again that the Incubus put some sort of spell on him while they were sleeping together... No, the priest tells himself. Volodya isn't strong enough for that; he said so himself.

Unless he lied. But Vladimir wouldn't do that... would he?

Amidst all his worried thoughts, Yuri knows one thing for sure: he's getting very attached to Vladimir.

Whatever that means for him.
