"Zenkichi, are you all right?" Medaka asked in worry as she came up to his side with Nabeshima and the rest of the swimming team following behind. She looked towards where Takachiho had gone and narrowed her eyes. "That guy..."

Zenkichi grabbed her shoulder. "I'm fine, Medaka-chan. We just exchanged some pointers in combat techniques. Besides, we wouldn't be able to catch the guy unless one of us can move at the speed of breaking the sound barrier."

"..."

"...No way!" Zenkichi, Nabeshima and the swimming team looked at her indignantly.

Medaka looked sheepish. "I can try...?"

'Seriously, I have a long way to go if I want to beat this monster.' Zenkichi sighed and shook his head. He knew that Medaka wasn't going to be easy to defeat, as she'd also gradually grow stronger mentally and physically with every opportunity she comes across.

Well, he wasn't expecting it to be easy when the time comes anyway. As she grows stronger with her talent and skills, he has to grow even more stronger than her with more effort and luck!

"Huh. I never would've thought you guys would know him, Takachiho Shigusa." Yakushima, the captain of the swimming team, said, a hint of fear could be seen in his eyes as he mentioned Takachiho's name.

"You know him, Yakushima-senpai?" Nabeshima asked.

Yakushima nodded. "Unfortunately. We were classmates back in our first year. The guy is hella intelligent, honestly I don't understand how he wasn't qualified to be one of class 13 back then, but he's quite the freaking fighter; managing to beat down all the delinquents that were starting a gang war at the time by himself."

His expression turned grim, recalling that dreaded memory from two years ago that caused many to drop out of school. "Son of a bitch was untouchable, dodging and weaving around like he was a goddamn shinigami from Bleach! But with how he sent all those guys into the hospital, it sure fit him."

Both Zenkichi and Medaka frowned, they were feeling mixed emotions but they all shared one common thought about Takachiho–he's dangerous. Medaka asked, "He might have a reason in doing all that, especially since those delinquents were starting a gang war, but he still shouldn't have gone that far! Why did the school not do anything?"

Yakushima shrugged, "Beats me. What's even more strange is that no one put up any charges into anyone, the whole thing was swept away in just a few months. The last time I saw him was when we finished our final exams. I had honestly thought he dropped out."

"Yakushima-senpai, do you have any other information about Takachiho-senpai?" Zenkichi asked.

Yakushima shook his head. "Nah, I've got nothing. I never really got to know the guy, we didn't even become acquaintances but just classmates. Though, there was a couple of people that I've seen him interact with back in our freshman year."

"Do you still remember who they were and are they still in this school?"

"Yeah, I do but..." Yakushima jerked his head, telling him that they were being watched by other students that may or may not trouble Zenkichi later on.

Zenkichi noticed this and nodded. "Alright, let's talk later after we take a shower. I want to wash this chlorine off my body."

Tanegashima, the vice captain of the swimming team, burst out laughing with his sharp teeth showing. "Hahaha! Says you, we live and breathe with it like its air!"

Uzaki came up from behind Zenkichi and stared at Tanegashima with blank eyes. "Ew. We don't do that, Tanegashima-senpai. Stop trying hard to be cool."

"Yeah man, don't be such a creep. No one likes a try-hard." Yakushima said.
