I let out a long-winded sigh as I made my way over to the dorm kitchen and began preparing the strongest coffee to wake me up for our first day of lessons after the... rather awkward events that took place prior.
The night before, I quickly excused myself from Kitty and the boys' dorm and bolted at the speed of light back to mine.
"Hey, Steph! You good?" A voice spoke up, calling my name. I turned my head to see my room mate Olivia standing next to me, getting a packet of bread out the cabinet. The British-Japanese girl with had long, bleached blonde hair stood wearing tiny polka dot pyjama shorts and a black tank top with matching black slippers to go with it.
"I'm good, but so tired." I started, pouring some milk into my coffee cup. "Did you have fun at the welcome party yesterday?"
"I was just gonna ask you about that!" She beamed, popping a slice of bread into the toaster as she rested her forearm on the table to talk to me.
"Hmm?"
"Well...I saw you talking to Min Ho..." She spoke up nervously as I took a sip of my coffee, a small smile appearing on her face.
"She has a huge crush on him, basically " Our last roommate Cerys spoke up, skipping into the kitchen to join in on our conversation. She was an outgoing African-Korean girl with her long coiled hair tied into a low bun. Although I had only known them for a day at this point, I already felt so close to both Cerys and Olivia.
"You like Min ho?!" I exclaimed, almost choking on my drink as I wiped the corners of my mouth.
"You guys don't like each other or anything, do you?" She stood up straight, bringing her hands to her face to soothe the red tint that was spread across her cheeks.
"Absolutely not. You're good." I retorted quickly. "I've overheard so many people talking about him... I don't get it." I took another sip of my coffee.
"Have you seen his face?"
"Have you seen his money?" Cerys chimed in, grabbing Olivia's hands as they talked about the boy.
"While you two continue fawning over Min Ho, I'm gonna go and get ready for class." I take one last sip, walking with my cup of coffee in my hand, pivoted around to my bedroom.

I speed-walked into class approximately five minutes late, giving my teacher Mr Chan a small, apologetic smile — the hallways felt like constant, never ending mazes! It was the first lesson of the semester: Cultural Studies class. In all honesty, I despised these kind of classes, the ones that are solely opinionated. My waffling skills were not up to par.
"You're a bit late, Miss, so there's only one seat left at the back, go sit down." He called me out, pointing to the only empty seat, which was right at the back of the classroom.
"Sorry, Sir." The desks were arranged in pairs with one pair opposite another pair, a small aisle parting the two halves.
"Can you please move your bag? It's on my seat." I made my way over to the back and asked the boy I was assigned a seat next to in a polite voice.
"My bad." The boy spoke and looked at me as he reached out his hand to slightly pick up his bag from the seat, our eyes meeting briefly, his parted hair falling down the sides of his face.
"... right." I nodded slightly, sighing as I look off to the side. To my surprise, I was paired up with the infamous Min Ho.
"Well look who it is." He leaned his head into his hands, looking at me more intently, an unreadable expression on his face.
"I'm not too thrilled about it either." I whispered, sitting down next to him, a slight look of annoyance on my face.
The class proceeded as I took out my notepad and pen to scribble down notes.
"Okay class, hands up if Cultural Studies is one of your favourite subjects?" Mr Chan asked, the same smile he used to greet me making an appearance once again.
The class was dead silent — you could hear a pin drop.
"Well... I hope I can change that for you!" He began pressing buttons on his powerpoint presentation. "The semester this class will revolve around partner projects. This is worth 40% of your final grade." He began wiggling his fingers towards the projected image on the board. "You'll be exploring how social media influences modern beauty standards across different cultures."
I internally groan, knowing I'll have to work with Min ho. Based off my first interaction with him, it seemed as though I'd be the one doing all the work whilst he took the credit.
"You will be required to write a 2,000 word essay alongside a presentation." Mr Chan sat back in his chair, freezing the projector image as he began working on his laptop. "It seems as though you all are already in pairs, so start brainstorming. I expect thoroughly researched projects. No last-minute work."
"Alright, Airport girl, got any ideas?" Min Ho straightened his posture, turning his head to look at me with the familiar sense of confidence he seemed to carry a lot.
"Airport girl?"
"Well, yeah. I thought you'd get it considering you body-checked me right before my flight."
My face instantly flushed. "That was your fault, you weren't looking."
"Right," he smirked. "Whatever you say, airport girl."
I exhaled sharply, rolling my eyes slightly. This is going to be a nightmare.

A/N: SHORT CHAPTER, but I'm back to regular updates!! If you guys read the original version, I'm sure you've noticed a lot of changes, maybe in writing style, or even in the plot in general. I can CONFIRM that this book's taking a different trajectory than what I initially intended, so I will be going back and editing the already-published chapters so the story can flow cohesively.
Who's watched s2 yet?!
Don't forget to vote and follow!! <33
