Heavy sadness drowned my mind,
The excitement burnt into dust,
The weight of past memories came around,
When I realised every time I dream to see the stars
All I see is a starless night.
The happy moments hid in the dark,
When the sudden sadness engulfed my heart,
The shattered pieces of expectation and hope,
Mocked the inner child hidden within
