Liam's POV:

I saw her walking out of her house entrance gate in that sexy white dress. Fuck! She's gorgeous. I'm gonna regret what I'll do today. This is probably the first and last time I'm taking her to a date. I wanted her to have the best time of her life tonight. But, Luke's words hammer inside my brain which were fighting with the wish of my heart. Luke is capable of doing worse things to her. I can't let that happen to her. I have to protect this pure soul. First woman who made me weak for her. I held enough of power to shut Luke up but I just couldn't. I didn't want to do any dirty to her. I wanted to stay with her, but Luke wouldn't let me.

"Hey?", an angelic voice cut my thoughts as I got out of the car immediately. I held her hands and looked at her. Her eyes were shining gazing into mine. The light from street lamps behind us were even brighter when reflected from her eyes. Her glossy plum lips curved into a smile. I kissed the back of her hands and put them on my shoulders. I dived in to kiss her and she let me have the control as always. My hands caged her little body by her waist. I lifted her up and she placed her legs around my waist as my hands supported at her butt. I walked towards the passenger seat of my car without breaking the kiss, exploring her mouth that tasted like sweet strawberries. I placed her down to be seated there and she blushed after the kiss.

"Looking gorgeous.", I mentioned as I walked back over to my driving seat and sat beside her. She adjusted in her seat and said,

"Thanks"...."So, where are we going?"

"What kind of date would you love my lady?", I asked her. God I really needed to stop calling her names for what I'm going to do.

"Would a classy candlelight dinner be good keeping in mind the way we are dressed?"< she scrunched her nose at me as if she is pleading. Somebody tell her she would only need to plead on bed. Not elsewhere.

"Obviously! Let's go.", I drove to the Mother Wolf. I have come here a few times when I was kid with my family before I moved out. I'm sure it's still a good enough place.

We entered and I booked the whole floor we were in for that night. I saw her gazing at the beautiful walls of the place. She is so innocent yet wild. I approached her from her behind and put my hand on her lower back as I escorted to the dining.

It was a white and red romantic themed dining with led lights and candles decorated all over the place starting from the ground we step our foot onto to the top of the table we will be sat.

I pulled the chair for her and seated her before sitting in mine. Tonight I wanted to know her. About her. And let her know about me.
The waiter gave us a bottle of champagne and as soon as he left, she proceeded to get hold of the bottle. I took the bottle in a quick motion before her. I couldn't let her get drunk today this soon.
She gave me a questionable look.
"You're not getting drunk today, baby girl."
She pursed her lips and sat back quietly flipping her glass. I flipped mine and opened the cork of the champagne. The sound of buzzing champagne filled the atmosphere as we were too quiet. I poured her a little and then to mine.

I took my glass and shifted back in my chair to the back rest.

"So, what do you think about life?"

She looked here and there and finally broke her silence,
"Life is good, I mean, it's quite good now. My father used to tell me, life is a race, where not only your strength but wisdom matters for survival."

"He is right though."

"Of course, he is.", she gave a sad smile as she looked down lowering her head. "But...you know, sometimes you really need to be strong, especially when you're at the brink of falling from a cliff hanging onto a branch."

"Whatever makes you feel bad, leave it. Whatever makes you smile, keep it."....."My father told me before I moved out."

"Why did you move out?", I glared at her. She got scared and looked down fidgeting her fingers.
"I mean, like, LA is quite good...", God damn, her kitty voice when she is scared.

"I was forced to stay out there Italy away from my family because at that time, when my father used to run this business, he shook hands with the underworld. Luke didn't want me involve in this in anyway so, he and mom sent me to Italy when I was 13.", I explained to her. She felt like a comfort place.

"At 13??!!!", she gasped.

"Huh. Yes. You can spend a lifetime trying to forget your childhood."

"That's right.", she laughed with a hint of dryness in her voice.
"Why is that right for you?", I asked. I wanted to know.
"When I was 16, my little brother died of blood cancer. It was traumatic for me. We weren't even allowed see him for the last time. He was my best friend."....she paused for a moment, "After that incident I never had any such friends and my parents were too careless and heartbroken at his demise, they barely paid any attention to me. I studied hard, struggled a lot, worked at cafes, so I could apply to the Oxford's and I even got their scholarship. But, I was in need of money more than pursuing higher study. So, that's how I ended up in Carter industry."

"And here tonight.", I added. She smiled at this and sipped on her glass. I took a sip and edged forward to keep my hands on the table.

"My father and brother used to handle the company aligned with the underworld. But due to some huge amount of debt, the underworld men kidnapped my mother. When my father found her, she was already gone. This was 7-8 years ago. I got a call from my brother where he informed me and told me not to call them if they don't. I was there alone and felt helpless."...."My father withdrew connections from the underworld and shot himself to prevent further misleads of the company. My brother took over and is managing it all over from then. I need to provide him now.", I heard her sniffle and saw tears welled up in her eyes.

"Well, leave that shitty things behind. Tell me, why are your nipples fighting their freedom?", I said to distract her from the serious talk as I saw her hard nipples through the thin fabric.

She gave a small laugh and said, "They do deserve to be out there.", she smirked as she gulped another sip.

"Well, I wanted to say you something.", I said straight with a serious face.
"Yes, go for it.", she put her glass aside focusing her attention to me.

"You...and...me..", I was struggling.
"You and me?", she widened her eyes in excitement.
"We..."
"Us?"
"WE are...I am..", I shifted my gaze from her face to the view outside. I could never say this looking at her.

"I am not interested in you.", I spitted finally.
"What?..", I could feel her heart broke from her voice. "I thought we were a thing?"

"Yes, we are NO-thing.", I scoffed rudely.
