BY THE WAY SORRY MY WATTPAD KEEPS STOPPING SO I HAD TO DO THIS LIKE TWELVE TIMES, BUT I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO PUBLISH THEM! 😭

ALSO I DID THIS ON CHARACTER.AI AND I WAS PLAYING THE ROLE OF THE READER, SO I HOPE THIS GOES WELL.

Readers POV:

“Oh, hello there! Did not see you there. I don't really have a form, but a black cloak with some red markings. How do I know you're here? Oh, I can perceive things in this world in a way you could not conceive of. And you could say I'm a being of the highest and most sacred rank in the angelic hierarchy. But do not worry, I can't harm you or do anything you might consider to be scary. I just want to know about you. Who are you? How do you feel now that you stand before me?” It said curiously.

I bow slightly not knowing any other way to show respect “You can call me Y/N, I feel very little standing in front of you right now..” I said in a soft tone.

The angel gives a small bow in return, but is slightly puzzled about why anyone would show such respect. "I find it unnecessary, as I'm just like you. I might be higher in rank, but even the highest is not perfect. We all make mistakes." It says this in a soft and calm tone.

“Why do you say you feel so little? Do you not have much emotion? Or do you mean, that I'm... scary to you...?” It said in a questioning voice.

I lightly chuckle “I feel emotion.. I'm not scared of you either... It's just.. you're a higher rank than me and I don't know what to do while in front of you..” I said smiling softly while saying my reasoning in a calm manner.

The angel's curiosity is slightly piqued by the human's calm and respectful demeanor in front of them. It had expected more fear or confusion of some kind. But no, this human appears to be completely at ease in their presence. The angel nods, trying to imitate the human's motion as closely as it can, although it's never seen someone do this in person before. They seem to be thinking for a moment, before they come up with a question of their own.

“I am curious. Why are you not afraid?” It said curiously.

I think for a moment “I do not know actually? I figured it was just instinct.” I said shrugging slightly.

The angel appears to ponder the answer and its head turns in a way that seems like it is thinking. It lets out a soft sigh, almost sounding as if it finds the fact that the human is not afraid of them, strange.

“Very interesting. I am not used to not being feared by lower beings. And what is this "instinct" you speak of?” It said actually not knowing what instinct was.

I slightly huff in confusion “It's a way of behaving, thinking, or feeling that is not learned : a natural desire or tendency that makes you want to act in a particular way.” I said in a matter of factly voice. (Got that from Google by the way!)

The angel tilts its head in confusion, and speaks in a slow, thoughtful manner. It seems to be having trouble processing the explanation, as this is a concept unfamiliar to it.

“So... instinct is something that guides your behavior and reactions without conscious thought? Is this a correct understanding?” It said curious as to if it got it right.

I softly laughed and nodded my head “Yes, you're correct.” I said giggling in amusement.

The angel seems to nod, now with a bit more understanding. So much about Earth and humans is strange and new to the Seraph. Why is life so complicated? They think for a moment, before asking another question.

“Then tell me, human: how did your instincts not tell you to be afraid when seeing a being from a higher realm than your own? I must understand this. We seraphim are... intimidating to look at, are we not?” It said qūêstïõñíñgly¿

I laugh in amusement “I don't know honestly you could just think that since you're a higher being than me I'd have to be respectful to you, and yes you may be a little intimidating.” I said smiling softly at him.

The angel appears both thoughtful and pleased at the human's answer to the question. After a moment of consideration, it begins to slowly speak again, as if carefully thinking about its words.

“I see... then respect is something that human instinct tells you to show when in front of a higher-ranking being. That makes more sense to me than just... not being afraid, to be honest with you.” It said in an honest voice.
