It was a quiet summer evening in Surrey. Harry, was in his and Y/N's shared bedroom looking at the picture book that gave him at the end of his first year at Hogwarts; he looked at the picture of him and Y/N as babies with their parents, he then turned the page to look at a picture of him and Y/N with his closest friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger; he then heard his owl Hedwig chirping and hooting in her cage.

"I can't let you out, Hedwig. I'm not allowed to use magic outside of school." Harry said as Hedwig nibbled at her lock, squawking loudly. "Besides, if Uncle Vernon--"

"Harry Potter!" Vernon's enraged voice said from downstairs.

"Now you've done it." Harry said to the owl before closing his book and walking downstairs, heading into the kitchen. In the kitchen, Petunia was working on a cake as Harry entered.

"He's in there, Vernon." Petunia said as she pointed at her husband. Harry entered the living room, where Uncle Vernon was getting Dudley dressed up.

"I'm warning you. If you can't control that bloody bird, it'll have to go." Vernon said sternly.

"But she's bored. If I could only let her out for... an hour or two." Harry argued.

"So you can send secret messages to your freaky little friends? No, sir." Vernon said as Harry looked dejected.

"But I haven't had any messages from any of my friends. Not one. All summer."

"Who would want to be friends with you?" Dudley said as he barged into Harry.

"You wouldn't be saying that if Y/N was here now would you. You're scared of him." Harry said with a smirk as Dudley sneered at him.

"I should think you'd be a little more grateful. We've raised you since you a were a baby, given you the food off our table, even let you have Dudley's second bedroom with Y/N, purely out of the goodness of our hearts." Vernon said Harry knew Y/N would scoff if he was here instead of upstairs meditating.

Dudley was eyeing up the cake and went to get a taste before he was stopped.

"Not now, bumpkins. It's for when the Masons arrive." Petunia said as she gently slapped Dudley's hand.

"Which should be any minute." Vernon said as he motioned for his family to come into the living room. "Now, let's go over our schedule once again, shall we? Petunia, when the Masons arrive, you will be...?"

"In here, waiting to welcome them graciously to our home." Petunia said with a smile.

"Good. And, Dudley, you will be...?" Vernon said as he turned to his son.

"I'll be waiting to open the door." Dudley said in a posh voice.

"Excellent." Vernon said as the three of them turned to Harry with scornful looks. "And you and Y/N...?"

"We'll be in our bedroom, making no noise and pretending that we don't exist." Harry said as Vernon nodded.

"Too right you will. With any luck, this could well be the day I make the biggest deal of my career, and you will not mess it up." Vernon said as Harry went upstairs.

"Mr. and Mrs. Mason! Do come in!" Vernon said as he opened the door.

Harry hears someone laughing madly in his room. He opens the door to find, a small creature with big eyes and huge ears jumping on his bed while Y/N was meditating.

"Harry Potter! Such an honour it is!" The creature said as Harry closed the door.

"Who are you?" Harry asked.
