(Okay so I'm not sure whether to make this much more fucked up or just a normal enjoyable fanfic but I lub my Simmon so I'll just fool around with him for a moment, and just make a somewhat normal fanfic. READERS PRONOUNS ARE THEY/THEM, so they're gender neutral, and Simon's are he/him, since I don't want this to be confusing, and I love writing for gender neutral readers<3)
He stood at the end of the hallway of these cursed apartments, staring at... someone... Who was that?
They were just jingling around, what sounded like, a few keys.
He didn't speak, just stood there. In fear, he placed his hand on the gun on his hip, and spoke. If it was a monster, he was ready to fucking fire without any hesitation.
But if it was a living person... He wouldn't forgive himself for killing another human being.
"Hello?" He spoke up. "Huh? Oh. Hey." The person replied. Thank god. A person.
"What are you doing here? Don't you know it's... dangerous?" He asked. "Danger? Where?" The person chuckled. When there was silence, they stopped smiling and looked over at Simon. Was he serious? Was he... okay?
"Are you alright over there? It's mighty dark." The person spoke.
Simon stood quiet for a long time, before finally replying to them.
"Yeah, I'm... fine."
"Do you... wanna come in?"
The voice spoke from across the hall. And Simon truly did debate what would be the best outcome.
On one hand, he really wanted to be around someone, to feel safe for once. But what if... this person wasn't who they seemed to be? He was already weirded out by them, since it seemed like they were both in different places. They were in the same area, sure, but they didn't seem afraid at all, unlike him. He had to consider all the possibilities to keep-
"Hello?" They spoke. He snapped out of his trance and blurted out an answer. It wasn't his, it was just that he had to say something... "Sorry, I, uh... yeah, I'll... I'll come in."
The person opened their apartment door, which emitted a light, which shined on their face... and they smiled at Simon. That smile... it made him feel an inexplainable kind of warmth, that made him feel safe. It felt a little weird, but it must be something else.
They seemed trustworthy so far.
So blindly, Simon walked into their apartment, hugging himself as he looked around. He didn't understand it, but this place was different from everything else... It was safe, warm, sheltered. This was the only time he'd ever feel good, so he was going to savor it.
The sound of the door closing snapped him out of his thoughts and he turned to the person.
"Why did you let me in?" He asked, quietly. They placed a few plastic bags on the table and turned to him.
"You seemed a bit distressed. And I haven't seen you before, so I just... You know. Wanted to make you feel alright." They didn't look at him as they spoke. They just walked over to the couch and sat down. "Sorry about the mess. I like to enjoy my Sunday's while I still can."
Simon stood quiet for a moment before scanning the coffee table. There wasn't much of a mess. Just a few books and fast food containers.
"It's fine." He spoke and sat down next to them.
"So how old are you?"
"Nineteen."
"Nineteen?" They repeated with a scoff. "You're pretty ugly for a nineteen year old." They chuckled. Normally, Simon wouldn't care about their comment, since he knew where he stood. But he gave a smirk at them and shook his head.
"What about you? What's your age?"
"I just turned twenty one last week." They answered and cracked open the soda on the coffee table, handing it over to Simon. "Yep, a pretty boring birthday."
He furrowed his brows and looked at the stranger. "I didn't get your name."
"Y/n."
"Y/n?"
"Yeah. That's my name. What? Got trouble hearing too?" They smiled. "What about you?"
"I'm Simon." He replied, not returning the smile. He just went back to staring forward.
"You okay?" The still stranger suddenly asked, their smile dropping as they gave Simon a rather concerned look.
"No, I mean, yeah. Well, I'm... I'm... unsure." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Take off your hood for me." They suddenly said. Simon looked over at them, weirded out.
"Dude, it's not like I'm asking you to get naked. Shit..." They spoke. Simon was quiet again, before slowly letting down his hood.
"Yep... Figured."
"What? You already told me I'm ugly."
"No, I'm not talking about that!" They stood up and went over to the kitchen. "You're bleeding. Did you hit your head or something?"
"I'm bleeding?" He responded, concerned as he placed his hand on his wounded head. When he pulled away, there was indeed a lot of blood...
"The hell...?"
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'll get you patched up, just don't touch it." They spoke before walking over to Simon, leaning down in front of him and beginning to clean up his wound.
"So how'd this get here?"
"I... don't know..." Y/n gave a hum and nodded at his response, continuing to clean his wound. They smiled at him suddenly, which caught Simon off guard.
"What?"
"You know what? I take it back. You look really cute up close." They spoke, causing Simon to blush and turn away.
"Hey, look here." They spoke and snapped their fingers. "Gotta patch you up still." Y/n wrapped their fingers around his chin and turned his head to face them, bandaging up with fresh wound before patting his head.
"Alright. Feeling better?" They asked him and stood up.
Simon sighed and nodded, leaning forward on the sofa.
"You look tired. Do you want a nap?" He didn't respond to that. Although, he was tired, he wasn't sure if he was comfortable sleeping in some strangers apartment.
But so far, he's been safe here. He hasn't seen any of those... things... And a few more minutes of security wouldn't hurt.
"... Sure..." He muttered. "You can nap on the couch then." They replied. "Go to sleep there, and I'll check in on you in a minute."
Simon seemed a little saddened, and spoke to them. "Where... Where are you going...?" Y/n smiled at him and pat his head again.
"Not far. Don't worry about it, alright? I'll be here if you need me."
With those words, they left him there, all by his lonesome. He still felt comfortable, just alone now. So he slowly laid his body down on the couch, where his eyelids grew unbelievably heavy. And when darkness encased his vision, it didn't feel so bad.But when he woke up, he was now in a dark room. Rubbing his eyes, he could've sworn he was somewhere more nice than this!
This room was completely dirty and looked like it was raided...
"Y/n...?" Simon called out, looking around the dark area.
He immediately pulled out his phone to look around. But they were nowhere to be seen... What was this?!
Was his brain playing tricks on him?!
Was that person... never real...?(Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii sorry that chapter was so fuckin long. I just wanted to write about Simon being comforted. ANYWAYS, I DO plan on making a PART TWO.
