(Damn, apparently the Cry of Fear fandom is alive? I published the first chapter like, a day or two, and it's already receiving traction. Pretty cool... I'm gonna try to keep it going for as long as possible. Some chapters may be short, some may be boring, but I want the boring parts to explain more of what's going on, feel me? Well, either way, just buckle down and have a nice read on the toilet. You're not pooping or peeing, you're just trying to escape. Well, I hope you are anyway...)

Not long after Simon awoke from his dream, he found himself desperately searching for the comforting stranger.
He didn't remember the room number, and the more he thought about it, the more he felt his memories slipping away. Their touch felt real... their touch...
Simon reached up to touch his bandaged forehead. Now he knew he wasn't crazy. This apartment building must be messing with his mind. But how did he end up here?
It was probably best to forget that the whole ordeal happened, but he was so curious. He couldn't be crazy...
First, he left the current apartment he was in. That was a step in the right direction. Now it was time to find Y/n.
As soon as he left the apartment, his eyes darted to his left and another woman with pointed limbs came darting at him.
Despite his unnerved state, he knew what to do, and took out his pistol before shooting the thing multiple times. And as it lay dead on the floor, he took a moment to breathe before getting a move on.
He truly debated whether or not he should start knocking on the apartment doors. There had to be a better way...
Until he thought to himself. The best way to find out what happened was probably retracing his steps.
It wasn't long until he found himself in a familiar position. Something different was at the end of the hallway.
It must be Y/n's apartment...
So he made his way down. But instead of a warm yellow glow, like how it looked before, there was just a dark purple light, pulsing underneath.
He heard growling on the other side of the door... This must be the wrong one, but he had the apartment number now.
333.
Since this room was unfamiliar to him, he was going to assume the other ones labeled as '333' were different as well.
Simon kept an ear out as he walked up the stairs. He came into contact with yet, another locked door... that wasn't there before. Now he knew he wasn't crazy.
This place was playing tricks on him. But he wasn't gonna give up on this Y/n person just yet. He knew he wanted to find out what was going on, but he also felt that a part of him was only seeking them out for comfort.
Either way, it didn't matter. Once he found this person and questioned them, he was going to leave this place either way.
Simon knew this floor had nothing, so it was just him and that weird glowing door. He approached it once more. He didn't hear anymore growling. It was still glowing though, and he found that the door wasn't locked.
As he opened the door, he readied his pistols for monsters.
But there was nothing. Nothing but a giant hole that had that eerie glow... he slowly approached the gap in the room and looked down...
It seemed like a long drop. How was it glowing if there was only darkness down there...
In his head, he debated... Should he jump? It didn't take long for him to make a decision. He put one foot in front of the other, closed his eyes, leaned in, and let the darkness encase him.
He felt the wind against his face, but he didn't care. He wanted this.
It felt endless, but he didn't care. He wanted this.
And then, when his body made sudden impact against the floor, there was no pain.
Instead, he got up like nothing had happened...
"Shit... Where am I...?" He muttered to himself as he looked around.
This place... also wasn't familiar.
He left the small room he fell in, and explored the area more.
He used his phone as a light. Somehow, it didn't break during the fall.
It was dark so far, but then he saw light, and heard the trickling of water. At the end of the hallway he walked down, there was some ammo for his gun.
He was quick to pick it up. And after that, he placed his phone in his pocket. This looked like it was an underground subway. Or, the leading to one.
And there were purple lights everywhere. How was this possible?
Simon didn't question it. Instead, he stepped down the stairs, letting the cool water soak his shoes before treading on.
So far, there weren't any monsters. Just himself. But that fact, and the atmosphere, made him even more afraid...
Simon soon found where the long hallway had lead him. It was an actual subway underground. But there wasn't a train. Instead, there was a table with a key on it.
It was surrounded by humanoid figures, who sulked around.
They looked like they were just... skin. That's all they looked like. Walking flesh creatures. Their 'arms' were held together like a straitjacket, and it also seemed to connect to their 'heads'...
He couldn't see them very well, but he swore, there seemed to be gaping holes in their chests. He heard the sound of a train approaching, but the monsters didn't seem to notice.
He assumed they couldn't hear him...
So Simon went up the stairs and grabbed the key. He didn't have time to examine it. As soon as he grabbed the key, the monsters around him began to react.
"What the..." He spoke as he looked around himself. They were all walking towards him, with the intent to kill.
Their mouths were sideways and connected to their chests! How vile... Panicked, he reached for his gun and aimed it at the closest figure before firing a few times. It fell to the floor, but started using its feet to crawl.
What... was this?!
Behind him, the train had finally arrived. The door slowly started to open, and Simon kept firing, almost running out of ammo.
Once the subway door was open all the way, he wasted no time getting in. He tried forcing the door shut, but that creature that was crawling on the floor managed to get halfway inside.
Simon panicked and continued slamming the subway door. And just as one of the figures got close enough, it seemed to be getting ready to lunge something at him.
Thankfully, he shut the door in time, splitting the creature in the doorway in half.
The figures continued to beat themselves against the train, but then it started to move again. Everything was alright... Until he heard someone spoke.
"You alright?" They said. That voice... It was new too.
"I'm... fine..." He replied, looking over at whoever spoke.
He had a stubble, shaggy dirty blonde hair, and shifty, baggy, yellow green eyes.
Simon stood up, but this man wouldn't look at him.
"What are you... you on this train for...?" The man spoke, his hands clenching and unclenching. "I'm not... I'm not bad." He said as he took off his glasses and stared down at them.
Simon didn't want to speak with him any further, but decided to show a little bit of humanity.
"I'm just... I have to get back home." He answered.
"Where are you going?"
"Home..." Simon repeated. "Are you... alright?"
"I'm not bad." At his answer, Simon stood quiet before asking another question.
"... What's your name...?"
"Frankie."

(Hhhhhhhh uh howdy yall. I wrote this in one sitting while waiting for my PS remote to charge. I'm slightly tired, but dammit, I wanted to play PS games and dammit, I shall. Idk if y'all enjoyed this chapter. I kinda pulled it out of the recesses of my mind, and that's why 'Frankie' is here. This is still an x reader, I just wanted to make the story longer, so I'm adding in more characters. Again, if y'all have suggestions or ideas, I def wanna hear them, and I'll even give you a shoutout if you want. Anyways, I hope you had fun reading this)
