Chapter 6: Dalia

I reached the area where the explosion happened. "Green!?... Green?!" I saw him stumble as he ran, "Follow me!" We went into a large square. A small figure clad in a black cloak runs toward Green. "Watch out!' I screamed, he side-stepped easily and we saw her. She lunged for him again unsheathing a knife. "What's your deal?!" I screamed and hopped out of the way. Green grabbed her shoulders and looked at her, His eyes getting teary. "DALIA!!" He shrieked and pulled her into a tight hug. He shoved off her hoodie, she had a bandage on her left side of her head. She had tears in her eyes. "What were you doing..?" I mumbled. He took the knife from her softly. "You don't have to work for him..." He said, meaning his father. She looked down and went limp. He caught her and gasped. She looked emotionally and physically tired. "Let's go." He whispered to me, I followed him through the large crack in the kingdom wall.

When we were through and safe, everyone came out of hiding.They all ran up to us, checking us over and asking questions. "What happened?" "Who's that?" "What do we do now?", "you ok?". This is too much right now. "Everyone stop." Green boomed. I jumped, "We need to rest, not answer questions right now." He sat with dalia on his lap. I was so tired I just layed on one of the set up beds. I closed my eyes.

I woke to the sound of the bushes moving. I got up and shambled over to the fire. "Hey Icara!" Richard came up to me and hugged me. "Are you feeling ok?" He looked at me. "Yeah I'm fine." I smiled. Rich has always been there for me. "Let's go eat, you must be starving!" I followed him sleepily. My rib painfully moved and I stumbled. "Oh!" He finally remembered my injury. He came and picked me up. I haven't been carried in a while, it felt nice. He set me by the fire and gave me some food. "Thank you Rich" I told him, "Of course!" He went and sat on the other side of the fire. It was dark and everyone else was asleep.
