The atmosphere inside the conference hall was electric, the buzz of whispers and clicks from cameras filling the air as people waited in anticipation for the first public appearance of KJ's CEO, Kim Jisoo. For five years, she had stayed out of the limelight, focusing solely on the business side of things. But today, the world would see the woman behind the powerhouse corporation, and she was making sure they wouldn’t forget it.
The black Mercedes Benz rolled to a stop near the entrance, and a well-dressed man stepped out, adjusting his grey suit before the door on the other side opened. Kim Jisoo, her confidence radiating, emerged with a small smile, her hand held firmly by Taehyung. The media erupted with flashing cameras and a barrage of questions, but Taehyung stayed composed, gently guiding Jisoo through the chaos.
"Thank you," she said to him quietly as they walked together toward the conference hall, the press continuing to snap pictures of them. Taehyung’s hand tightened around hers, a silent gesture of support, as they made their way past the eager journalists. The security team did their job, keeping the crowd at bay as Jisoo and Taehyung made their way to their seats.
Once seated at the platform, Jisoo felt her nerves start to take over, but Taehyung's touch under the table grounded her. His hand slid into hers, a reassurance she didn’t know she needed until it was there.
"Everything will be fine," he whispered softly, a smile playing at the corners of his lips as he looked over at her. "You don’t have to answer every question. It’s up to you."
Jisoo nodded, though her thoughts were clouded with doubt. What if they asked something too personal? Something she wasn’t ready to share? She knew she could control the narrative to a certain degree, but she also knew how unpredictable the media could be.
The host stood up, his voice cutting through the chatter, and introduced them with a slight smirk. "Good morning, everyone. I’m the host of today’s conference, and we are here with the CEO of KJ, Kim Jisoo, and her rumored boyfriend, or should I say, assistant?"
The comment earned a few chuckles from the crowd, and Jisoo’s smile tightened, her eyes flashing with a hint of annoyance.
"Hello, everyone," she interrupted, her voice clear and firm, cutting off any potential questions before they could even be asked. "Although we are here to discuss the rumors regarding our relationship, we will not be answering any personal questions about us."
Her presence was commanding, and the tension in the room shifted. People understood the unspoken rule—this was business, not gossip. Her gaze swept over the room, her hazel eyes capturing the attention of everyone present. She wasn’t going to let anyone make a spectacle of her today.
Turning to Taehyung, she smiled, her gaze softening for just a moment. He was with her, and for the first time in a long while, Jisoo felt truly prepared to face whatever came her way. No matter the questions, she had made it clear: she wouldn’t be bullied into revealing what wasn’t hers to share.
The room fell into a respectful silence, and Jisoo felt the weight of the moment settle in. This was just the beginning, and she wasn’t going to let anyone dictate her story. Not today. Not ever again.
Soon later, as she sat back down, the journalist who had asked the question hesitated for a moment before speaking again, sensing the change in atmosphere. But then another journalist, more determined, stood up.
"Although you sent a clear confession yesterday about your dating Mr. Kim, we still want to know more about you two," she asked, looking around as many in the crowd nodded in agreement.
Although Jisoo had answered briefly the day before, the rumors were far from settled. Her relationship with Taehyung was a new sensation, and people were hungry for more details.
