Onceler and you: A way to rewrite the end.

Chapter 3: it's because he didnt leave for good

It was night already, Onceler was on his blue with yellow bunny pijama's and finished knitting his Thneed. While, (Y/n) was on the floor, resting her back on the bed using a pillow, she was reading a book she had on her bag the first time she got here.
She looked at him standing up and closed her book as she stood next to him.

-You finished it
She says, she really like see him knit but she read the book only to stay awake and give him company as he did it.

He got up and looked proud he did the first one.
He put it on a chair and got his hands behind his back.
-So, that's a thneed. Nothing unmanly about knitting. No, sir
He says.
-you are right and agree. But you do it better than anyone I see.
She says smiling at him. He really is good maybe better when she tried knitting with her grandma for winter seasons.

He yawned and that means its time to sleep.
Before he layed down, she was going out with her bag to use it as a pillow and sleep on the waggon there. Maybe they are together as partners but its better give him his space.

But she was stopped when he hold her arm.
-where are you going?
He asked.
-outside, there is only a bed for one.
She says answering.
-i dont mind sharing. Why didnt you say that?
He says, she put her bag down and lay down next to him. Of course it was the first timw sleeping with some, specially a guy.
-thanks for letting me sleep here
She says and decided to look away after he turned the light off and both fall asleep.

Meanwhile the lorax was planning to scare the onceler and make him believe the forces of nature are cursing him.
Lucky for him the wind was blowing strong and he started to make sounds and use branches to make the onceler see black claw shadows on the wall.

He woke up to those sounds and started screaming, making (y/n) wake up. She was sleepy but he hugged on her scared and she was confused. She then looked at the window as onceler was scared and close to his ear she whispered who was behind all this.

The lorax was so in character making sound and moving the branches that behind him, the onceler looked tired and angry as he was holding a hose. So he pressed on it and it shot water making the lorax fall a bit further.

He got back to the bed and this time unconciously he hugged on (Y/n) who was already asleep since he checked to see outside.

After a long while, the next plan of the lorax was a bit better but didnt expect it would get worse in the end.

As the onceler snore and (y/n) was enjoying her sleep close to him. The animals and the lorax got inside and got under the bed to take it outside.
At first they were the worst taking beds since it didnt fit to take it out of the door. So they did it by taking it out of the window.
The lorax made sure Melvin wont get in the middle of this. He just gave him a fruit and kept silent.
Quickly they took both humans to the river so they would go away floating.
They also make sure not to make a sound so onceler and (y/n) wouldnt wake up. And the only sound at night is the onceler snores.
-Nice work , You guys. Couldnt have done it without you.
Said the lorax thanking the animals, but then pipsqueak showed up on the bed of onceler waving his paws. Not only the lorax was shock aslo the animals were too.

-You have to be kidding me. Can he swim?- He asked to the bear next to him and he shook his head as 'no'. -Of course he can't swim.

-Hang on, Pipsqueak. I'm coming to get you!

The animals and the lorax followed the bed as they ran to catch it, rescue pipsqueak before its too late.

The lorax asked the fishes to stop the bed since they are closer. Instead of that, the only try to stop it by pulling the blanket off of onceler and (y/n). And not having it on, it made both humans shiver of cold.
Onceler had (y/n) close so he pulled her tight to him and felt comfy again. She also hugged him back snuggling on his chest to feel warm.
