"Five." A figure of a brown-haired girl in a tan tunic and dark blue cloak can be seen in the shadows of a unused theater. "Four." Her bright green eyes seemed to be glowing in the light. "Three." The screen started to light up. "Two." A white dragon with blue eyes and electricity flashing across the dragon's spikes sat regally next to the girl. "One." At the same time, the girl had placed her hand on a dark gray button and the room had lit up in a blinding white light.
As soon as the light had disappeared, she heard moaning and complaints coming from the crowd of people below. But she smiled to see that she had placed the future Team Zym and Sierra down gently in a separate room.
Collective complaints rang through the room as it was suddenly filled with people. Everyone was disoriented and confused but confusion quickly faded into anger the moment the two different races laid eyes on each other. The room they were in looked like a cinema. Actually it was one, a circular one. The rest of the room was huge and had only four doors. Two at the back of the room, one on the right and the other on the left. The floor was covered in couches, bean bags and cushions. There was also a balcony overhead near the back of the room. The room was lit by lamps and what look like stars on the wall. Two overhead light on the ceiling was the only other source of light in the room.
Everyone reached for a weapon, but their hearts skipped a beat when they realized that they were unarmed. As much as Emily would love too watch them stare at each other with no clue what to do she would like to get onto watching the show.
"Well this is a lovely reunion," commented Emily. "I will only be so patient with you. You are in the space between worlds. My name is Emily and I come bearing an olive branch. You have been brought here to view the soon future."
"Where are our weapons?" Runaan asked.
"Good grief, we really are playing twenty questions today," said Emily. "You all need to be alive in order to see the future."
Commander Gren sighed. "Okay, lets get this over with."
"That still doesn't explain why we're here," Soren said while pointing to his friends.
"Well," continued Emily. "You're here because eventually, you are also part of that future."
"But why are those Xadians here?!" one of the Crown Guards asked still mad about being in the same room as many of the Xadians.
"Because the future also involves them. You see the first thing I'll show you is the end of the war between you and the elves." That got everyone to start whispering among themselves. "Now, let the show begin!"
