Karna : healing the wounds

Arrival

After a long journey karna arrived at hastinapur. When he was going through the village the moments of his past starts coming to his mind the way he used to make his radha ma run behind him and all but soon he put that thought aside. He noticed that the whole village was empty, after travelling further he found an old man.
K: kaka why the village is empty?where are the people who lives here.
M: today all prince of hastinapur has arrived after completing there education and for there welcome kala pradarshan has been organised by guru drona. everyone has went there only to see the prince. I'm going there too if you want you can come with me.
K: sure.
After that they arrived at the big stadium where everyone was sitting and waiting for their prince to arrive. The old man too went to sit on one of the empty spaces while karna went to the top of the tower to see the show clearly. After some time guru drona arrived and started calling the princes name one by one . They started to show there talent in the field they are experts in. After 99 Kauravas came sahdev and nakul , both of them showed their sword ⚔️ fighting, then came yudhishthir can showed his mastery in spears , after that came duryodhan and Bheem, both of which fight with gada like mad bulls attacking each other. Karna could sense immense haterad in both eyes ,guru drona stopped them declared both as winners . At last came Arjun who showed his Archery skills karna watched archery skills of Arjun with interest. After Arjun completed his show guru dron came and announced him as the greatest archer 🏹 of the world. Karna felt quite angry at this bcz indirectly it was an insult to all the teachers who had taught their students the archery and above that his gurudev had taught him that only Mahadev is best and all others can only be better. At that moment karna wanted to challenge guru dron but controlled himself as his gurudev had told him not show off his weaponry skills until it is really important to do so.

Next day
Karna went to meet mahamahim bhisma after getting permission from mahamahim guards informed him to enter the room.
K: pranipat mahamahim.
Mahamahim: ayushman bhav. Who are you and why you wanted to meet me.
K: My name is karna mahamahim. And I'm here for a job of charioteer. I will be grateful if you will allow me to give my service to hastinapur.
Mahamahim: yesterday only all prince has arrived so we needs trained charioteer for our princes. You can come to work from tomorrow. Tell me who you wishes to be your maharathi.
(At the same time pandavs and Kauravas too came there to seek the blessings of their pitamaha. Hearing pitamaha asking karna who he want to be his maharathi they all felt exited to know who he is going to choose between them)
K: I wish to have prince suyodhan as my maharathi.
Mahamahim: why only duryodhan and not anyone from pandavs.
K: (smiled and continued to say) I attended tomorrow's kalapradarshan and I got quite impressed with his skills.
Mahamahim: but Bheem also remained undefeated with duryodhan. And Arjun is too very skilled in archery.
K: you are right that prince Bheem also remained undefeated but there is a difference,prince Bheem remained undefeated bcz of his strength which is also a boon of his grandfather but prince suyodhan remained undefeated bcz of his technique and strength.
Mahamahim: and what about Arjun.
K: I don't lie easily mahamahim. Do you still want to hear why I didn't choose prince Arjun.
(Arjun who was standing behind karna spoke)
A: yes I want to hear you.
K: bcz I think you are too proud in your archery skills and thinks that you are the best. I didn't liked your ego.
Mahamahim: Arjun is proud in his skills as he is greatest archer and has faith in his skills. So why do think it is wrong .
K: tell me mahamahim can Arjun defeat you or your gurudev bhagwan parshuram.
Mahamahim: that's bcz he lacks experience.
K: acc to me Mahadev is the greatest archer. And everyone else can only be better. This my thinking and it doesn't mean that everyone should have same thinking. I had told you why I wanted prince suyodhan as my maharathi as you asked. Now tell me am I allowed to give my service to prince suyodhan.
Mahamahim: ask from duryodhan if he wants you as his charioteer or not.
K: say prince suyodhan do you take me as your charioteer?
Suyodhan: you can join me from tomorrow as my charioteer.
Karna gave him a beautiful smile which had the power to melt anyone.
K: prince Arjun I'm sorry if you think I crossed my limit. There is no doubt that you are one of a great archer in this world.
Arjun just nodded at karna.
K: now allow me to leave from here.
Mahamahim: wait. Who are your parents, you didn't told us about them and are you really a charioteer.
(Mahamahim asked as karna's body language speak as he was a warrior.)

Flashback
Karna was little sad and had kept his head on mata dharini's lap.
Mata dharini: (caressing his head) what happened putra.
K: nothing mata.
Mata dharini: now you are lying to me putra, won't you share your problems with your this mata.
K: mata today a boy said to me that I am not good as I don't have parents. Is it true mata am I not good.
Mata dharini: who said you don't have parents putra don't you call me your mata am I not your mother. If anyone from ask you whose putra you are tell them that you are my putra. Since the day you had came my life has brighten putra do you know why I sometimes calls you Aditya bcz you are sun ☀️ in my life putra.
K: I love you mata.
Mata dharini:( hugged karna) me too putra
(Flashback ends)
K:( in mind should I tell mata dharini's name. It's not that only mata has her name as dharini right. I think I should tell them)
Mahamahim: what are you thinking?
K: huh nothing. Actually I am not from hastinapur and lives far away. I had came here for job and about your second question, from childhood only I started dealing with horses and the weapons.(in mind I didn't lied as now I'm not from hastinapur and they think that I may be a trader of weapons and a charioteer while in reality a warrior to deals with weapons. He smiled thinking this.
Mahamahim: fine you can go and take horses for the chariot from stable.
K: thanku mahamahim.
(Saying this karna left from there)

(My first step of being close with the royals is done and from the way the elders behave make sense why there is so much enemity between the pandavs and Kauravas. Karna was thinking about these things when he came to the stable. So now I should choose two horses for the chariot. Karna checked all the horses but didn't found any horse 🐎 with a strength he wants that's when his eyes went on the two horses. They were kept little away from others. He found them strong so asked a man working at stable that if he can take them for prince chariot?
Man: you can if you are able to control them , no one has been able to control both of them.
K: don't worry, just open the gate of stable rest I will manage.
(Man did as karna said and with effort of 30 minutes both the horses stop struggling with karna's hold. After that karna caressed and feed them and tied to the chariot he had recently made to check the balance of chariot.)
K: now my work is complete ,the chariot is ready now I can rest. Ah I'm feeling so tired after the long journey but where to sleep.
(Karna saw a tree and climbed on it and rest his body by leaning to one of the branches by keeping one of his hand under his head and slept there only. Actually when karna was searching for a teacher it took him 6 months to meet bhagwan parshuram. He travelled different areas and used to spend his night on trees only. So he doesn't feel uncomfortable while sleeping on trees.)
