Reward or punishment

At evening
A great function has been organised guests from different kingdoms have been gathered and meeting the princes of hastinapur. Karna was standing near suyo and other Kauravas while pandavs were standing little away from them.
Solider announced the arrival of king and queen 👑. Everyone greeted the king and queen and started enjoying the function, some started eating at food stalls, while some were seeing dances, sword ⚔️ fighting etc being performed.

While the royals of hastinapur were busy staring karna and trying to understand his motive for being friends with duryodhan. Karna could feel the stares on him too.
Karna: suyo am I that handsome that your family is just not being able to look away from me huh.

Suyo: Mitra if someone would have been staring me like this I would have gotten nervous and you are here praising yourself, what are you really made of.
K: why should I get nervous but yeah I'm sad I wish instead of your family some girls would have been staring me, afterall they all are boys , I don't have any kind of interest in them.
Suyo: leave it. See the girl standing there is my sister .So come let me introduce you to her. She is really sweet and naughty.
(Then our suyo dragged karna to dushala)
Suyo : dushala
Dushala: pranipat bhrata.
Suyo: (just nodded his head) meet him he is my new friend.
Dushala: pranipat. Can I call you bhrata too
K: offcourse you can. I always wished to have a sister. And I heard suyo telling me that you are really naughty, so will be my crime partner to irritate suyo. You know he gets irritate really fast.
Dushala: really. Ofcourse I would love to prank others with you. I heard what you did to bhrata at pool.
(Karna chuckled at this)
Suyo: wow both of your guts should be appreciated. Your planning against the person who is standing just beside you and you dushala how can you abonden me like this. (Showing puppy eyes)
Karna and dushala: (at same time)

Like this chit chatting and making fun of each other function got ended with no drama between the two sets of cousin much to karna's relief. At last king announced that tomorrow In rajya sabha ab important announcement will be there and told everyone to be present on time. After that everyone went to do there respective work. Karna was just roaming from here and there in the streets of hastinapur just when he heard some unpleasant sounds. He went behind the sounds and found himself standing in front of temple.

Next day
At rajya sabha
Everyone was present in the rajya sabha while karna standing where usually all the common people stands to watch the justice being provided by the king.
King: today's rajya sabha is important because today the yuvraj of hastinapur will be announced.
(And then there was the arrival of guru dron stating that king can't announce any prince as yuvraj as they have not given there gurudakshina. And after that asked war with panchal as his dakshina. Pandavs and Kauravas got ready to give their gurudakshina to guru dron. And it was announced that tomorrow only they will leave for panchal.)
King: ok then, now I'm going to call of the sabha if anyone wants to say anything can say now.
(Just then there was entry of some priests)
Priest1: Maharaj we are here to ask justice from you .
King: state your problem , justice will be provided.
Priest 2: Maharaj yesterday one man attacked on us and injured us. (By showing some wounds which weren't that bad like they were illustrating) we want justice Maharaj he should be severely punished for attacking the priests.
All the priests in unison: yes he should be punished.
(Just then king showed his hand and silenced everyone)
King: can you identify the man who did this with you.
priest1: yes we can. He is standing here only( and then he pointed at one man . Seeing him pointing towards the man everyone was shocked as she was none other than karna himself but king and queen didn't knew this because of there blindness)
King: Soldiers arrest him.(karna let him be arrest and after arresting was done he was moved in the middle of the sabha) Tell us who are you who did the crime of attacking the priests.

K: my name is karna and I am a charioteer.(hearing karna's name mata gandhaari got shocked)
Gandhaari: putra karna. But why did you did this.
Karna: mata I mean maharani or was just a self defence which I did.
King: state clearly karna. What actually happened there.
K: Maharaj I was just roaming near the temple of hastinapur then I saw these priests dragging a small boy probably 10year old, I asked them why they are doing this so he told me that he is a shudra and has violated the law by entering in the temple. They were going to kill him so I thought to stop them. But they just attacked on me so by doing self defence they got hurt and now are asking fake justice (he said last line by glaring at the priests) tell me Maharaj even if the boy has done a mistake but children can't be punished like that and secondly isn't it the king who provides justice then why were they themselves doing the injustice with the lad in the name of justice.
Priest3: he is making stories Maharaj nothing of that sort really happened there.
Karna: we have the small child and his family as a witness.
King: bring the family.
(The family arrived at there)
King: tell me did these priests tried to kill your child.
Father of the child: yes Maharaj they tried to kill my child but we were saved this man( pointing at karna).
Priest: fine we accept that we tried to harm the child but he(karna) being a suta lifted the weapon which is against the rules of hastinapur. So he too should be punished.
Suyo: just shut up. Who are you to tell who should be punished or not after doing such a heneious crime.
Vidur: prince duryodhan you shouldn't interfere. And what the priest saying is truth , in hastinapur sutas aren't allowed to lift the weapons.
K: but I have stopped an injustice so shouldn't I be rewarded Maharaj.
King: it's true that karna had broked a law but he has also saved the child. But hat doesn't mean he will not be punished. Mahamantri tell the punishment that is given to a suta for lifting the weapon.
Vidur: it's 10 lashes on its back.
King : fine karna will get 10 lashes but ask what you want as your reward karna.
K: I want to go to panchal war as a charioteer of prince duryodhan tomorrow. After coming from the war you can give me the punishment. I have accepted my punishment king shouldn't you give the punishment to these priests too.
King: Soldiers throw these priests out of hastinapur. And if seen again kill them.
(And with that rajya sabha was called off.)
