Pretending

Llilith was over and edas apartment attempting to help eda but it was hard to do so with this current situation. And it would also make it easier if eda didn't have her face in the couch cushions, with a hood on. "Edalyn I get your upset.. But can you at least sit up"  all she heard was a pathetic groan from her sister. "Right... Maybe it wasn't what you think" Lilith said hoping it was helping although she knew she was lying. "Your to innocent minded sometimes.. What else could have happened!?" Eda asked. But she still didn't sit up. "I uh...heat.. Stroke?" Lilith questioned. "That's not helping!!" Eda yelled. "They probably hate me.. " she mumbled finally sitting up. "Not possible" Lilith said quickly. "Well thanks but-"      "shut up. I mean it's physically and emotionally impossible for raine to hate you" she said in a stern tone. "What would you know...with your aroace ass.. " eda groaned. "I've been watching you and raine for years, it's pretty easy to notice"   she said back to eda who was again resorting to petty insults. "What if your wrong... What if they do hate me.. I'd loose my best friend"     "crush" Lilith coughed under her breath.  Earning a glare from eda. "How many y times do I have to tell you! Me and raine are just friends!"    "Yet they love you like crazy" Lilith responded. "As a friend!" Eda argued. "I'm pretty sure this whole situation proves otherwise" Lilith said rolling her eyes, it's not like she was wrong.  "Doesn't count! I don't even remember it!"
If I don't remember it, it didn't happen
"I don't remember it. " eda mumbled with a mischievous smile. "Oh no.. I  know that look" Lilith said. "It didn't happen! Cause we don't remember it" eda said standing up.    "W-what?.."   Lilith asked. "Haha! We can just pretend it didn't happen! Cause we don't remember it!"  Eda laughed nervously. "So.. Your going to ignore the problem?..." Lilith asked with a concerned look on her face. "Exactly! Thanks lils!"   Eda said with an forced smile. "That's not healthy" Lilith argued. "Fuck healthy! I'm accurate!' Eda said with fake pride. " your really not"  Lilith said, then being dragged to the door. "I'm gonna talk to my best friend! Because that's all we are! And... All we'll ever be! Because nothing weird happened!" Eda said pushing Lilith out the door.  Then closed it and took a few deep breaths. "Nothings weird... Nothing happened"    she said to herself. Then pulled out her phone.  And called raine.

"Heyy rainestorm!"

"E-eda?"

"The one and only! What's up"

"Are you okay?"

"Totally! Totally! Why don't you come over and talk k?"

"I.. Okay but are you-"

"Okay byeee!!"
Eda quickly hung up the phone, she didn't want to answer weather she was okay or not. She took more deep breaths, then sighed. "Nothings weird... Because nothing happened"  about 20 minutes pasted then eda heard a knock on her door, so she hurried and answered it. "Hey rainestorm!" She said letting them in. "So uh we should probably talk about.. Ya know... Right?) " they asked. "Nope!"  Eda said quickly. "What? How come?"    "Because it didn't happen" eda said making finger guns. "If we have no memory of this so called situation it never happened!"  Eda said playfully. Raine started giggling  thinking she was using humor to try and cheer them up. So they played along. "What situation?" They asked with a smug face. "What do you saw to a coffee run and then hanging out at the park?" Eda asked. "Sounds great Calamity" Raine said. Eda grabbed her wallet and keys and they headed out. Now of course nothing they do screams best friends so they were not only holding hands the whole way over they were also walking in a way that made it seem they were practicallu dancing around each other.    So much so multiple people said they were a cute couple, which of course flustered both if them and they always said they were just really close friends.  Of course nobody believed them but Ed and Raine carried on. They got their coffee and went to the park as agreed. Sitting on a bench swing together enjoying the view of a lake. "This was a great idea" Raine said. "I have nothing but great ideas rainestorm" eda teased, then her phone rang. It was her mother. "Damnit.. " eda still answered the call.

"Hey mom..."

"Ah! Edalyn dear!!"

"Mhm.. What's up"

"Just wanted to try out this phone I got recently"

"Uh huh... Why don't you call lily"

"Oh I did dear! She told me you wanted to talk!"

"....yeah... Oh nooo my phone is dying.. Call you in a week!"

Eda hung up and Raine started laughing. "Lying to your own mother calamity? Shameful" raine said leaning closer to her. "I didn't lie, just spoke an untruth" eda said as she started blushing.    "That's the same thing" Raine said smirking at her, starting to make eda more nervous. Eda rolled her eyes and lightly pushed Raine back. "Haha... Very cute Raine"  eda said nervously.  "Awh come on, how can I be cute if I'm an adult" Raine asked. "Nature. Some people are hot.. And some are cute.. Nobodys both" eda said russling Raines hair. Which she immediately regretted.

Eda flipped her hood on her head in deeply inhaled. "You okay? Your acting like you just saw the biggest crime ever committed.

"nope! All good" eda lied. "Hey.. I'm glad were okay" Raine said, eda gave Raine her full attention from a statement like that. "Hm?" She asked. "I just... I'm just glad I'm not loosing my best friend" eda forced a smile to hide her disappointment. "Yeah.. I am to.. " eda said with a weak smile. "Why dont we um.. Head back?" Eda said getting if the swing. Mean while Lilith and Darius were talking.  "It's ridiculous it'nt it?" Darius asked. "Absolutely, I mean it's been hears how have they still not realized they like each other" Lilith responded. "No idea.."     Darius said shaking his head. "I mean.. To be fair.. Edalyn isn't the best about talking about her feelings.. So.. I guess it makes sense although the signs are painfully clear" Lilith said  sort of holding her head down. "Oh.. Shoot I did promise Raine I'd help them with something later today.. Maybe their finally going to ask her out" Darius said. "Oh, hm.. Never thought Raine would make the first move"   "wanna bet on it?" Darius asked, Lilith was no pretty interested. "Okay.. If edalyn confesses first.. You have to admit your gay for alador on camera" Lilith said with a smug smile. "W-what!? I'm not gay for that hack!!" Darius said turning red. "Mhm.. What do you want if Raine makes the first move?"   Darius took a few seconds to think. "You have to admit you have OCD, on camera" Lilith now had a sort of embarrassed look on her face. "I do not!"   "You literally deep cleaned your apartment after you saw a roach climb through your window, after eda killed it"  "it was crawling everywhere!!" Lilith said will she cringed at the thought.  Who's going to win the bet?
