One year later

Yoongi had been busy getting ready for his first solo exhibition. He produced 20 new pieces and was adding some of his older pieces that Eun-Ji had persuaded him to add. Eun-Ji had been busy herself as her book had been published and the publisher had her travelling the country promoting it for a few months. She was glad to be home in time to help Yoongi with the final preparations for the exhibition. When the day finally arrived, all his friends came to support him. The gallery had been very excited to have him choose them to show his work that they pulled out all the stops and had even prepared a firework display for the end of the evening. As the evening wound down, people headed outside to watch the fireworks from the garden which was filled with sculptures. Yoongi found Eun-Ji as everyone went out and told her they had been given access to the rooftop garden as the view would be better from there.

"Are we the only ones up here?" Eun-Ji asks, looking around at the pretty garden decorated with fairy lights.

"Uh-huh," he replies. "I've barely seen you all evening and I wanted you all to myself," he adds wrapping her in his arms.

"I've missed this," she says, hugging him back.

"Promise me you'll not leave for so long again," he says kissing her head.

"I promise, I missed you too much and only seeing you for those two days in the middle was horrible," she says, "thank you for supporting me though."

"Don't be silly, it was your dream and after everything you did to help me fulfil mine, I wasn't going to stop you," he says cupping her face. "I should be thanking you for sticking by me as I disappeared for days on end to paint and then for helping me with getting sorted for tonight, even though you'd only just got back. You've been my muse, my inspiration, my support and without you, I wouldn't be who I am today."

"What's gotten into you? Stop being all soppy," she smiles at him.

"Never," he says looking at her lovingly, "you are my world and I'll always be here for you."

"I love you," she says kissing him.

"Not as much as I love you. I want you in my life forever and even though it took us a lot longer than I'd have liked to get where we are, I wouldn't change a thing. Eun-Ji, I want to promise you that no matter what life throws at us, I'll never leave you. I'll be your shield and protect you as a husband should," Yoongi says looking into her eyes.

"Husband?" Eun-Ji says surprised.

"If you'll agree to marry me," Yoongi replies, pulling a diamond and ruby cluster engagement ring from his pocket. "Eun-Ji, would you make tonight perfect and marry me?" he asks nervously.

"Of course I will!" Eun-Ji replies with tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks as Yoongi slips the ring onto her finger and kisses her as the fireworks light up the sky.

"You have made me the happiest man in the world. I don't think tonight could get any better," he says wrapping his arms around her as they watched the fireworks. Eun-Ji nervously bites her lip.

"Yoongi," she says causing him to look down at her. "Maybe there is something that could make tonight even more special," she adds turning to look him in the eye. "Just before I came home I..." she begins.

"What is it?" he asks concerned.

"It's just..." she smiles up at him, "it's just that I found out that we're going to have a baby."

"We're what? A baby?" he exclaims. "Now tonight couldn't get any better," he happily grinned back, reflecting her joy. "I love you and this little one more than anything," he adds placing his hand on Eun-Ji's stomach before kissing her, "why didn't you tell me when you got back?" he asks.
