Tea with the Queen

Queen Wildberry was a very pretty fox, her fur was the color of a deep red, her white fur as clean as snow, always straight and neat. Now Flower had to clean herself before she went to the palace. She couldn't look like she had just rolled around in dirt, which she had.

Flower walked into the bramble palace, ducking to avoid being scratched. It was a small palace but good for the queen. Anytime I might be here, thought Flower as she looked around.

"Your Majesty," said Flower as she bowed down. "Welcome Flower, got any berries for me?" "Unfortunately not your majesty but I have come here to pay my respects." "Wonderful!"

After Flower paid her respects, Queen Wildberry invited her for some berry tea.

"I would be delighted to have some!" said Flower "Come along then," she said.

They stepped into a smaller room with a couple of nests covered in feathers. "You may sit here," said Queen Wildberry as she gestured to a nest. "Thank you," said Flower as she sat down. "Do you want anything specific?" the queen asked. "Do you have any strawberry tea?" "Of course we do, but would you like it iced?" "Yes, it is quite hot this summer." "Very true. Cranny we are ready!" "Who's Cranny?" "My cook." she answered.

Just then Cranny came in. "Do you want anything, your majesty?" he asked. "Yes please, we would like two strawberry teas, iced." "Ok, they will be ready shortly."

While Cranny was making their drinks, Flower and Queen Wildberry were having a little conversation.

"Got your drinks ready!" sang Cranny, "Just got to bring them in one at a time! "My paws are so slippery . . ."

"Wow, he apparently likes singing," I said. "He really wanted to become a singer for me but he failed, he became a cook instead." Queen Wildberry explained, "He is quite talented at cooking." "Here comes the iced tea!" said Cranny, "I was just joking about my paws!"

"Thank you Cranny for your service, you are now dismissed. I will call for you if I need something else." said Queen Wildberry. "You're welcome! Enjoy your drinks." said Cranny.

"This is so good," Flower said, "Cranny is a really good cook!" They drank their tea and talked some more. After they finished Flower thanked the queen and left.

She quickly ran home waiting to see if Arrow had come by. Nope, probably still hunting, I'll just have to wait for my rabbit.

Flower waited for a bit and finally got impatient. She walked around worrying that something happened to Arrow. I hope he didn't get hurt, more waiting I guess, hopefully Arrow is ok.
