A Twisted Leg

"Flower!" I glanced at where the voice was coming from and noticed the most annoying fox coming toward me, Weedy. "Your fox boyfriend is hurt, he twisted leg, when he fell off a tree. Queen Wildberry wants you to come over and help." he said. "He's not my boyfriend, why does everybody think that?" I growled at him. "That's what everybody thinks," Weedy replied, "It does look like you like him."

Well I do like him but why does everybody need to remind me about that, I thought.

"How did he get in the tree first of all?" I asked. "He was chasing a squirrel and it ran up the tree, he didn't stop and ran straight up the tree." he explained, "It was funny watching him run up the tree." "Enough talking we need to help Arrow." I said. I ran into my den and got some thick straight sticks and some bendable leaves. I ran out and followed Weedy to where Arrow was hurt. We ran for some time, weaving through bushes and jumping over little streams.

"You guys must hunt far." I said panting with effort to keep up with Weedy. "Yes, we do hunt far," said Weedy. We got there and I saw Arrow laying on the grass. "He's resting, waiting for you," said Queen Wildberry. I ran up to him quickly and immediately saw his twisted leg.

"You ok?" I whispered in his ear. "Yah, just got a twisted leg." he said with a bit of pain in his voice. "Ok I'm going to fix it." I whispered back at him. "Weedy, please help me put Arrow's leg back in place. Hold down his head." "Ok,"

While Weedy held Arrows head down, I quickly popped his legged back in place. "Owww, now that hurts." exclaimed Arrow. I wrapped the leaves around the leg, sliding in a couple of sticks. "That should do it." I said.

"Arrow should stay in your den while he heals, so he doesn't do anything crazy." Queen Wildberry ordered, "When he heals send him over to me."

My mind raced with excitement repeating over and over again saying Arrow is staying at my den. I tried to hide my excitement by looking as calm as I could. "Yes, your majesty." I said.

"Arrow and Flower, sitting in a tree--"Shut up." I said to Weedy, "Foxes can't even sit in trees." Weedy snickered and ran after Queen Wildberry. "Come on Arrow, let's get to my den. You need to rest." I said. "Ok," he said.

Arrow stood up, winced slightly and started slowly walking towards me. We made our way toward my den, with me bouncing like a bunny with excitement.
