"Morning everyone."
"Morning doc!" Everyone responded, except for Nataly, she was too fixated on him. Somehow, he was different from the other cars, and could be around my age; Not to mention, the car himself was very attractive, he is a 1951 dark blue Hudson Hornet. However, these colors suited this car perfectly, too perfect that Nataly could not help but notice how familiar he looked as if he was... No way, it cannot be! 'Holy shoot! He is the fabulous Hudson Hornet! The legend is still alive??'
Nataly wanted to say something to him about it but then, his deep blue eyes met her yellow ones, as if time had stopped and the reason that made his identity be given away to a historian writer like herself was his eyes and the same handsome smile that he does in all his video clips of his old 3 races. So instead of saying it, Nataly decided to not do so since it must be his privacy and believes that no one knows the legend of the 'Fabulous Hudson Hornet' that got his first big break in '54, Or even him living in this town for how long. Interrupted in her mind by his eyes, Doc abruptly introduced himself:
"My name is Doc Hudson. Yours?" "Nataly~," Nataly respond in a daydreaming state but, immediately widen her eyes and coughed out with her sides turning beet red at how she spoke inappropriately to a car doctor: "I-I mean Nataly Adler! It is nice to meet you, doc." She stuttered, which never happened to Nataly before that is until he chuckled deeply at her stuttering mess, not knowing that the town's cars were watching the communication going long; Already seeing chemistry going on between the elderly cars: 'Love at first sight.' The cars thought by seeing the obvious of their stare. As for Nataly, she got scared at how she spoke to Doc, "It is nice to meet you too, Nataly. He continues to smile more: "What brings you here?"
"Oh, I am a historian writer for the NEW YORK TIMES. And my assignment was to come to this town and explore its history and that's it." Nataly told him, his expression went from kindness to suspicious stare at her, that it did make her worried about Doc seeing right through knowing his past but she manages to brush it off: "I take pride in my work just like you are as a doctor and I am the oldest car in the historian writer job."
"How old are you?"
"49, you?"
Doc Hudson raised a metal eyebrow at my answer: "One year younger than me... He mumbled under his vent and spoke, "50. Where are you from?" He asked her as if she was the impostor, making Nataly take the hint of what he is up to:'Is he interrogating me or having a challenge to break me? Well, alright 'Doc' I will show no mercy.' Mentally smirking at herself, "New York, but originally, I am from Cleveland, Ohio. Nataly continued answering his question without batting an eye: "It's an 8-hour drive to get to Thomasville."
He stiffened a bit but then, Sheriff popped in from Sarge and said: "Heya, doc. That's near your hometown, probably could have met her." Worsening Doc that Nataly would expose, know his race car past that it made him want to kick her out of town but, surprisingly enough, she shook her front by disagreeing with the Sheriff: "No sheriff, if Doc is 50 it means I was a kid back then." She explained which did make Doc feel a wave of relief and got into his old self.
"I see, well do you care for a tour?" Doc offered. Making Guido's mouth drop in shock, Luigi smiled at this "chemistry" happening as well, even Sally Carrera and Flo were surprised.
"Of course, I'll need to write it down later anyway." Nataly accepted and both drove together.
Once they are gone, Sally and the rest let out their vents in relief at what had just happened:
"Did you see how Doc almost interrogated her?" Lizzie starts.
"Yeah man, I've never seen him smile that big before." Ramone points out.
