 Part 2:

The next day I woke up really early. Today was going to be an exciting day because I’m going to get to see Zack and probably Jake. I hopped into the shower and thought some more. Jake knows who I am, right? I mean, our school is pretty small, and it’s not like we've never talked before. I get out of the shower and start on making myself look good. I dry my long, wavy blonde hair and brush it all out. If I had to choose one thing that I like the most about me, I'd chose my hair. I put a little bit of make up on, but not too much. I move over to my closet and put jeans on. We're supposed to wear jeans and a work shirt to the market. Yesterday Mary gave Zack and I t-shirts that say “Mary's Market” on them. I get dressed and then check my phone.

"How was your first day? Was Jake there?!" a text from my best friend Rachel, reads. Rachel and I fangirl over Jake together.

"Jake wasn't there, but another guy was! I'll call you later and tell you all about it ;)" I quickly send off.

An hour later, I was on my way to the market, listening to music from my iPod in one ear.

"Hey," I hear someone casually call from behind me. I know that voice. I turn around.

"Hey Zack," I say, happy to see him. He catches up with me.

"Watcha listening to?" he asks me, noticing my headphones.

"Justin Bieber...” I say to him not embarrassed at all.

            "Sweet," he says.

"You’re not going to say anything bad about him?" I ask, surprised. Usually guys bash Justin whenever they get the chance.

"Nah," he says. "He's alright. What song?"

"Fall," I say. I listen to this song constantly, because I’m so obsessed with it.

"I like that song," he says.

"Actually?" I ask. There is no way that he likes Justin Bieber too.

"Yeah, give me an ear bud," he says. I study his face to see if he’s joking. I think he’s actually being serious. I give him one and we listen to Justin the rest of the walk to the market. When we get there, Mary puts us to work right away. We go into the main building and start restocking watermelons together. Since Mary has a bunch of different employees, she didn’t seem to mind that Zack and I worked together.

"I was thinking," I begin, talking to Zack. "Want to hang out after work today?" he looks at me and nods.

"That would be awesome," he says. I don’t even know why I suggested it.

"At my house? We can play Xbox. You know, since yours isn’t set up yet," I say. Ugh Sutton, you’re talking too much. I have this tendency to talk way too much when I'm nervous, and it's really annoying. "Sure," he says, and I can tell that he actually wants to. We continue working for a couple of minutes, when I hear Zack gasp. He then drops the watermelon that he was holding and it splatters everywhere.

"What's the matter?" I ask, and notice that he is staring towards the entrance. I follow his gaze and see Jake standing there, looking as gorgeous as ever. I look back at Zack to see what the big deal was. He's got the oddest expression on his face.
