Jayda Dior shifts impatiently in her seat as her Robotics professor rambles on about an upcoming group project amongst the class. Jayda loved robotics since she was a little girl and it was truthfully one of the only reasons why she applied to Carbonado City Community College to begin with.
Two rows behind Jayda was Imani Rowe, Jayda's classmate who she rarely talked to but if she had to she would. Imani Majored in Arts and minored in robotics. Robotics was something Imani had zero knowledge of but wanted to try anyways. Although Jayda and Imani didn't really have too much in common at the time, one thing they did share was that this was their first year in college which would make them both Freshmen.
"This project will require you to partner with anyone of your choice and the deadline will be exactly in 3 weeks." Professor Brown announced to the class. Jayda shot up from her phone as this caught her attention because she knew she didn't talk to or really know anyone in this specific class yet.
"And with that being said, that's class folks!" Professor Brown threw his old wrinkly hands into the air as he proudly dismissed the class.
Imani quickly throws her pencil and notebook into her bag as the class dismisses and rises from her seat. Before making her way completely out of the room she spots Jayda who was just getting out of her seat. Imani makes her way over to Jayda, trying to catch her before she goes on her way.
"Hey, Jayda!" Imani spoke, in a sarcastic kind of tone.
"Oh my gosh, bitch you scared me!" Jayda exclaimed as she held her chest in fear after her heart dropped to her literal asscrack at the sound of Imani's voice. Jayda quickly clenched her ass cheeks to stop herself from shitting out of fear as she stood waiting to see what Imani wanted.
"My bad." Imani let out a chuckle, realizing that she scared *almost* the literal shit out of Jayda. "I was just wondering if you had a partner for this upcoming project? I knew I probably wasn't going to find someone I actually want to partner with so I figured I'll come over and ask you!" Imani shrugged.
"No, I don't have anyone as a partner yet and to be honest I was thinking about not even doing it but I know it'll hurt the fuck out of my grade if I don't." Jayda nonchalantly responded, not really giving a shit.
"Well.. Do you mind being my partner?" Imani asked in somewhat of a high pitched tone.
"No, I don't mind at all girl! Take my number and we'll brainstorm and discuss what we gone' do regarding this project." Imani pulls out her phone, handing it to Jayda so she can insert her number inside of her cellular device.
A focused Jayda took her time typing her number into Imani's phone before handing her phone back to her with a big smile plastered onto her face. Imani looks down at her phone as she gets it back looking at Jayda's contact name that she personally typed herself that read "Jayda (Scat Queen)".
Imani grins awkwardly as she nervously slides her phone into her pocket. "Well, uh, I'll call you Jayda! Thanks for agreeing to become my partner."
"Of course girl! Anytime. I'll call you and we'll brainstorm some ideas once I get the chance." Imani nods in acceptance before both girls part ways, making it to their next class before it was quite too late.
Later that week.

Imani sits and patiently waits at a local Carbonado City library for Jayda. Earlier in the weak they talked over the phone and agreed to meet up at a local library to finally begin their project. The purpose of the project was to create and design a blueprint of a celebrity as a robot. Both ladies already had a list of celebrities that they came up with who would be cool to blueprint and design.
