Chapter 3 Progression not Progressing

The trio were asleep. Shizu threw ice cold water on them, waking them up. the trio was angry, Mezu and Sun YELLED, "WHY DON'T YOU WAKE US UP NORMALLY!" Rob was still asleep. Mezu looked at Rob and said “how does he sleep through this every time?” Shizu then said, "I wake yall up with ice cold water because everytime I try to wake the three of you up yall seem to sleep through pretty much anything”. Mezu said "BUT COLD WATER IS WAY TOO MUCH EVEN SUN IS PISSED AND HE DOESN'T USUALLY GET MAD!" Shizu then walked out saying, “make sure the two of you wake up Rob ''. Sun then said to Mezu ''Shizu is starting to really piss me off!" Mezu said, "Calm down sun there's not much to do about this training schedule, we have to train or we won't accomplish our goals". Sun then said "well Shizu is definitely on my list of guys to beat now!, He's really getting under my skin, also the training we've been doing has gotten boring. It's too easy now, we need something harder”. Mezu said “well tell him that he can't read minds, I don't think so at least. Sun said, "Nah we’re just going to tell him to let us work on something new so that we can train something else and  keep us on our toes' '. Later on when they wake up Rob and walk out of the temple, Shizu was sitting on the floor reading a comic book. Rob said while yawning “what are we doing today?” Shizu stood up and dropped the comic book into a box full of more comic books next to him. He then said “today we will be sparring” Mezu said “so who's going to fight? Me and rob? Me and sun? Sun and rob?” Shizu said "nope it's going to be you three versus me”. Rob said isn't that kinda unfair I mean a three v one?”,Shizu said “you're going to need to bring everything you got because i'm not going to hold back.Sun said while smiling “good because i'm not going to hold back either” Shizu said let's get started” then disappeared. Rob “said where did he go?” Sun said “ I don't know it's like he vanished” Mezus neck hair stood up Then he turned around and a book was flying at his head. Mezu ducked and dodged it, Rob and Sun turned around because they saw the book go flying past them. Once he ducked he saw Shizu running at him. Shizu threw a punch but Mezu blocked it then Sun came from the right side with a kick, Shizu caught it and Sun tried to punch Shizu before he could move. He swung his leg pulling his whole body and threw him into Mezu. Rob jumped over Sun and Mezu and tried to punch Shizu while still in the air, Shizu backflipped and then ran back up and kicked Rob to the floor. Rob pushed himself off the floor and punched at Shizu. Shizu blocked it and then punched Rob in the stomach making him cough up blood. Rob grabbed the arm Shizu punched him with and kept it at his stomach so Shizu couldn't use it. Mezu and Sun ran at him from both sides.Sun said while running up “You lose here” Then Shizu Jumped up and did a split kick with Rob still holding his hand down. The kick knocked Mezu back and knocked the wind out of Sun, Shizu then karate-chopped Rob knocking him out and making him fall to the floor. Mezu ran up and swung 4 punches, one at his face with his left hand, two at his stomach with his left, and one uppercut. Shizu blocked them all and then swung at Mezus head. Mezu barely dodged it then Sun came back and both Mezu and Sun were throwing punches at Shizu but he blocked them all then he leg-swept them knocking them onto the ground. Shizu then said “You've lost” Sun angrily punched the ground and said, “Damn it!, I was so close”. Shizu said, “The reason the three of you lost was that you weren't thinking as one, and you kept letting your guards down”. Shizu then said “You three should work together separately, one of you being the other's eyes and coming up with tactics to beat me, communication is key. Rob is good at reading people. He should be the eyes, Mezu has the best technique he should be delivering the hits and Sun is the fastest and has the most raw muscle strength he should be your shield”. Sun Said "HELL NO!!!, I don't wanna be anyone's shield, what do you take me for? Some weakling that can't do any damage while fighting?" Rob said “Chill he didn't say that he's just pointing out our strong points, you don't think being the strongest out of the three of us means anything?” Sun said “to hell with that I'm not going to sit here and protect the two of you because you're too slow and weak to do it yourselves' '. Mezu said “You can't be serious right? There's no way your mad because Shizu pointed out your strong point, if you don't want to be a shield then get stronger, know how to fight and defend yourself so others do have to do it for you.” Shizu said “Technique and accuracy is more important than power in terms of succession and Sun, you're not that much stronger than the other two in raw power so if you wanna strike then you're going to have to work on your technique”.Sun was mad and before he could say anything a feminine voice yelled “YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO THEM, THEIR NOT WRONG ESPECIALLY THE OLD MAN". Everyone turned around and saw a woman on a hill, she jumped off of the hill and landed next to where Shizu and the trio were standing. Shizu said “WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN OLD MAN, I'M ONLY 24 I AM NOT OLD!”. The woman said “sure you are Buddy!”. Who's these boys I'm assuming you brought them here? The woman asked. Shizu said " Mezu, Sun, Rob, Who you see here is Taiyō. The Youngest here is Soma we call him Sun. Sun was visibly still mad, the dread-headed one is Mezu, Mezu said “Hia” and the one in an orange jacket is Rob. Rob said “Hello there beautiful lady” The woman was visibly discussed. “These three are my students,” said Shizu, the woman said "alrighty then I wanna see what your students are made of. I'll watch over their training for a couple of days, by the way, my name is Taiyō. Mezu said “How do you and Shizu know each other?” Rob said “yeah how did the old man mean such a beautiful woman?” Taiyō said “me and the old man go way back, we've known each other since we were in diapers”. “STOP CALLING ME OLD MAN!! YOU'RE OLDER THAN ME!!, anyways you can see what they're made of now we were just about to do a technique drill cuz someone… is in desperate need of better technique”. Shizu said while looking at Sun. Sun then gave Shizu a very intense death stare and said to himself I'm gonna beat the crap out of you Shizu!  Shizu, Taiyō, and the trio went to a place full of very large sandbags. Shizu then explained to the trio that they will be punching these bags for as long as they are held together and won't do any other drills until they destroy these sandbags. Mezu said, “WHAT!?! THESE SANDBAGS LOOK LIKE THEY'RE FULL OF BRICKS”. Shizu said “actually it's sand but they weigh about three tons, but you were pretty close” Mezu said “ THREE TONS?!?! HOW IS IT EVEN HOLDING UP!?!?” Shizu said “don't worry about that, just start punching” Rob and Sun both said at the same time “THIS’LL BE EASY, JUST WATCH!!” Taiyō laughed and said “ this will definitely not be easy, not even Shizu could destroy these when he was yall age. His first time breaking one was only 4 years ago,” Shizu said “your really getting on my nerves you know that?” Taiyō said “be quiet and watch these boys, I wanna see how long it’ll take them  to do this. Shizu then said “you three need to make sure to punch through the bag, not on the bag.” Sun then Yelled, "WE ALREADY KNOW THAT" and then started to angrily punch the bag. Rob then started punching too, Mezu closed his eyes, he started focusing on his breathing. Taiyō said “what is the dread head doing?” Shizu said “ I don't know, he's never done this before”. Mezu then opened his eyes, they were glowing purple then he lifted his arm and touched the Sandbag and it disintegrated then Mezu’s eyes went back to normal. Taiyō “said wow so he has powers? What about the other two?” Shizu said “To be honest I don't know I didn't even know he had powers and by his reaction he didn't either.” Taiyō said “You're going to have to keep your eyes on them, especially the dread head'' Mezu was so confused, he was trying to figure out what just happened, he ran up to Shizu and Taiyō and said “ do you two know what just happened? I was trying to focus on my breathing so I could break the sandbag and when I lifted my arm it disappeared” Shizu said “has this happened before?” Mezu said “this is the first time that I'm aware of '' Shizu said this is interesting, we’ll talk more about this later. I'm trying to see if Sun and Rob can break it too. Rob and Sun were rapidly punching the bags, Rob broke through his, and when it fell it made a giant crater, big enough to hold 300 people, and walked off to stand by Taiyō. Sun was baffled by the other two's strength and was angry that he hasn't broken his yet.Sun then started punching the bag furiously he started punching faster and faster. He threw thousands of punches in just a couple of seconds. The bag was expanding then I popped. Sand flew everywhere it got in the trio's hair. Shizu and Taiyō were able to stop every grain from touching them. Rob said how did you do that?Sun said “I separated the sand and punched it at the right angles and created an air pocket inside that expanded every time I punched it until then it exploded,” Rob said “Ohhhhh, what?” Mezu said “Bag go pop,” Rob said, "I'm not that dumb come on”. Sun then said “Who lacks technique now Shizu!” Sun exclaimed. The other two looked at each other and knew exactly what they were thinking. Rob and Mezu said “Didn't we do better than you?” Sun yelled “SHUT UP I STILL DID IT DIDN'T I!?!?” Taiyō then said while the trio was yelling at one another Shizu “You should make them have a 2 v 1 match. the weakest versus the other two”. Shizu said “You don't think that's unfair? Having the weakest fight two people who are stronger than him?” Taiyō said “Come on pleaseeeee I want to see a good fight,” Shizu said, “Fine”. He said to the trio “ I'm going to have Sun face Mezu and Rob. Sun said “We heard you two, yall really think I'm the weakest? There's no way I'm the weakest you really think I'm just gonna let you insult my power like that? Shizu then said, “If you want to prove us wrong, show your strength and stop complaining, I want you three to fight with everything you got like your lives are on the line”. Mezu then said,d “Isn't that too much?, It's not gonna be fair for Sun”. Sun said “No, Shizu is right I need to prove my strength”. Rob said “Okay, but don't get mad at us if we pummel you”. Sun said, “I'm about to give you two a massive reality check”. Shizu then told the trio to start. Right out the gate Sun rushed Mezu and hit him with a triple bicycle kick and Mezu blocked the first two but not the third. Mezu flew 20 meters back and was surprised. Mezu said to himself  “Where did this come from?” Rob said “Okay so he is using great technique but that was a fluke” he then rushed Sun and threw an overhand right but Sun dropped down grabbed Rob's arm and then kicked the bottom of his calf and then put rob under the ground with brute force then Sun Rushed Mezu. Mezu stood still, closed his eyes, and started to focus on his breathing again. feeling the breeze of the air Mezu said “NOW” he opened his eyes, and they were glowing purple again, Mezu swung his arm so fast Sun couldn't react, Mezu hit Sun in his chest knocking him back 40 meters Sun then got up and said, “ so you got powers now?  Is that all you got? if you didn't notice you two already lost you lack experience seriously”. Mezu said “Shut up you talking too much” Sun ran at Mezu disappearing and reappearing everywhere, but Mezu was able to see where Sun was going to be before he even got there Sun disappeared again and reappeared above Mezu. Sun was about to hit Mezu with a kick to the top of the head with his right left, but Mezu sidestepped the kick and then punched Sun while he was still in the air into Rob's stuck body freeing him. Sun got up and he had the look of murder in his eyes. He started to run at Mezu but Rob grabbed him and slammed him into the ground. Sun did a spin kick on the ground trying to trip Rob but he jumped over it and stepped on Sun’s leg. Sun screamed out in pain. Rob got off of Sun’s leg and said “I'm so sorry are you okay?” While looking at Sun’s left leg Sun then swung with full force, with his right hand. Before the hit could land, Mezu Flash stepped in the way, throwing Rob back and blocking the punch. Mezu said “That was a  cheap trick you just tried,” Sun said “I'll show you a cheap trick” Then he threw dirt at Mezus and kicked him back. Mezu opened his eyes and they were no longer glowing. Mezu and Sun ran at each other at full speed with their fist up ready to swing. Right when they swung, Shizu Flash stepped in between the two of them then he caught their fist and threw them in opposite directions. They slammed to the ground. Shizu said “That's enough” Taiyō was surprised by this display of everyone's skillShizu said, “You three need to eat and rest and try again tomorrow”. The trio then went to their room and went to sleep. Taiyō then asked if she could train the boy who had shown to have been struggling with his progress. Shizu said, "Sure you can if anyone can train him to his fullest potential it's you." Taiyō asked, "Okay but how are you gonna break the news to him?" Shizu said, “I'm not going to tell them you are”. Taiyō then said “Okay but would you want him to be training here or at the other temple with more students?” Shizu then said, “I don't care, just make sure to let me see his progress every week”. Taiyō said “I'll just train him here, I would hate to leave so soon. After the tournament in the city sports center, I'll take him to another temple located in the western hemisphere so he can adapt better. He will reach his best over there”. “Alright, it works for me,” Shizu said
