Abadhay walked towards her making her step back .
He smirked looking at her nervous self and pulled her closer by her arm.
Mahi clutched at his kurta closing her eyes when he sneaked his arm around her bare waist.
Open your eyes sweetheart - he wishperd in her ear giving her goosebumps.
Mahi opened her eyes and looked at him . They were almost glued to each other and he was breathing on her forehead. This was the first time when she was this close to some male species except her father and brother. Their intimate position was making her feel different things which she was not able to decipher.
Don't you want a gift from your finance on your engagement day ....hmmm - he asked tightening his hold on her waist making her hiss.
She looked at his smirking face and knew this gift was not something she would like .
Answer me!!! He asked  nuzzling on the side of her face.
Mahi was not able to think anything at this moment being this close to him , while he was enjoying torturing her like this.
No please....a whisper left her mouth.
What???? You don't want a gift from your soon to be husband. I thought you love gifts as you accepted everything my grandmaa and mother gave you. Such a hypocrite you are Darling....he said mocking her with an evil glint in his eyes.

Mahi was looking at him like a statue. She just wanted to ran away from here.
Wait for a minute.... Saying he walked towards the table and took out a paper from a file .
Here is your first gift from your soon to be husband. I hope you will love it ...he smirked forwarding the paper to her.
Mahi reluctantly took the power and her eyes widened after reading it.
She looked at him shocked. No words came out of her mouth.
Your termination letter from the hospital. Now you don't have to work there. You have married a rich man. So just stay home and enjoy.....he said in a sarcastic way folding his hand on his chest.
Why????? Mahi just managed to ask him this only.
Tch..tch..tch.. very poor memory! He said flicking her forehead making her hiss a little.
Didn't I told you .I would make your life hell. What did you said...a strong, independent woman and blahhh blahhh ....
He chuckled humourlessly.
It's just a start to your new life. So miss now unemployed women ...a heartiest congratulations on your engagement. Enjoy!!! Saying that he stormed out of the room banging the door.

Mahi just stood there blankly. She was hurt, angry, disappointed, tired with everything going around her.
She didn't do anything to deserve all of this. She was also forced in this marriage, her own father didn't trusted her, everything was so messed up and she didn't knew what to do , where to go anymore.
Her only solace was her profession but now she lost that too.
She wanted to cry , scream and spill out all the pain but she can't even do that.
She never felt this helpless in her entire life.
Only God knows where all this will take her . What's future has in store for her .
She crushed that paper and threw it in a corner.
No she is not a weak woman. She won't give up . She would fight her  battles.
She is a self made person.
Mahi gathered her self and walked out of the room.

The function came to an end and their wedding was scheduled by the end of this  month. There were hardly 20 days  left.

Abadhay was looking at his ring sitting in his study room. His family was extremely happy about him getting married.
Prathiba and Abha were over the moon and were trying to do everything possible to make it special and grand.
But He was not happy. Marriage was not on his cards anytime soon . He wanted to dedicate his complete time to his business only.
He hated himself for  helping  her that night and falling into her trap. Only if he had minded his own business he wouldn't have been in this situation of unwanted marriage.
His thoughts were completely occupied by Mahi lately. She was messing up with his mind and he hated that.
He sighed leaning back on his chair and closed his eyes.
