Abadhay entred the dining hall all ready in his formal wears.
He kissed Abha and prathiba on their forehead greeting them and taking his usual seat.
Mahi came out of the kitchen with halwa that she prepared as it was her pehli Rasoi (a ritual where the bride cooks for the first time in the kitchen).
Prathiba fondly smiled at her grand daughter in law patting her cheek.
I can't wait to taste this super delicious halwa prathiba said excitedly making Abha chuckle.
Mahi served prathiba and Abha. She hesitantly moved forward to serve Abadhay too but he showed his hand ✋ denying the sweet dish.
It's your favourite Abadhay and moreover Mahi cooked for the first time , you should have it bacha...Abha spoke looking at Mahi's sad face .
I can't eat halwa in breakfast mom....I want my regular oats please..He said not wanting to have anything prepared by Mahi.
Although Mahi knew that already but his behaviour hurts her everytime. She sat beside Abha and started having her breakfast silently.
Abha sighed looking at her son but didn't said anything knowing how stubborn he is.
Abha and Prathiba praised Mahi's cooking skill and gave her some gift as a custom.
Mom, I will be leaving for London day after tomorrow for a 2 days business conference Abadhay informed Abha once he was done with his breakfast.
But bacha you just got married. You need to spend some time with Mahi rather going on business conferences Abha tried to make him understand.
It's really important and it was scheduled way back mom ... Abadhay explained.
Ok, then take Mahi along with you and extend your stay for 4-5 days prathiba suggested making Abha node smiling.
Maaa it's business related trip ...what will she do there when I will be busy with meetings and other stuff..he said rejecting the idea instantly.
Mahi was silent throughout and didn't even look up from her plate.
Maa is right Abhadhay...and your conference is for 2 days only . It's final you both are going . Abha said dismissing him.
Abadhay sighed knowing he can't do anything now and muttered an okay .

Nikhil arrived in the afternoon and took Mahi with him for pagphera rasam.
Mahi met her father who caressed her hairs lovingly but Mahi just nodded at him and went to her room.
She was still hurt from her father for not trusting her enough . She spent her day with  Isha  who had come to meet her best friend.
Isha noticed the bandage 🩹 on her wrist and frowned- How did you got hurt Mahi...Isha asked checking her wrist.
Ohh...it's actually nothing. Abadhay just....Mahi was cut off by Isha..
What...how dare he hurt you physically!
I would not leave him now..you just...Mahi Hushed her angry friend placing her palm over Isha's mouth.
It's nothing like that Ishuuu..calm down.....it just happened accidentally and he was the only one who bandaged it. Mahi explained making Isha sigh in relief.
I know he is angry at me and does things to hurt me but he can never harm me physically Isha. I trust him for that....Mahi explained further thinking about her handsome devil.
You like him. Don't you? Isha asked looking at Mahi's face.
I do, it's even more than just liking but things are just messed up between us. I don't know if he will ever be able to understand me and reciprocate my feelings. I wish we could have met under different circumstances...Mahi said with a sad smile.
He would be an idiot to not like you ....and don't worry I am sure everything will be fine...Isha spoke to lighten the environment and Mahi finally smiled hugging her best friend.
Later Nikhil joined the duo and they enjoyed their time together.

Abadhay was busy in meetings from morning and had just returned to his office exhausted.
His phone rang displaying his mother's call. Hiii mom, he sighed leaning back on his chair.
Hii bacha! You sound tired bacha.. don't overwork your self son. Did you had lunch today or not Abha asked from the other side.
Abadhay scratched his neck..ummm I actually forgot...he said knowing how his mother get angry whenever he skip his meals.
This is not done Abadhay. How many times should I tell you to have proper meals.but this boy doesn't listen to anyone.....Abha lectured him for quite sometime and he listened to his mother like an obedient child.
My sweetest Mumma...I just love you...He said smiling like a 5 year old knowing how it will melt his mother's anger and Abha huffed from other side .
This buttering will not work every time she laughed at her son's antiques.
But I guess it worked already....he said and the duo laughed.
Ok!!! I just called you to inform that you have to pick mahi from Rawat House while coming back Abha said remembering the reason she actually called for.
Ohh so you just called me for her Only.
People say that boys change after marrying but here my mother changed completely forgetting her own son... Abadhay said making a face .
Abha just laughed and hanged up asking her to return soon as she was eagerly waiting for her daughter in law .
Abadhay shaked his head at her mother. She was getting too attached with Mahi not knowing her true colours he thought .
