The rain poured heavily over the dark city of Seoul, its streets gleaming with reflections of neon signs. Hidden among the chaos was a girl who had grown up in the shadow of power and danger. Her name was Park Ryuvyna-the youngest sister of the infamous Park mafia family.

Despite her last name, Ryuvyna had strived to stay out of the family's illicit business. She focused on her studies, keeping her head down and her dreams far from the violence that consumed her brother's lives. Her elder brother, Jayden, was the son of the decisions and strategic mind. He adored Ryuvyna, his only sister, and had always sworn to protect her from their dark world.

But the Park family's enemies didn't pay by the rules

The day began like any other of Ryuvyna. She walked to her favourite cafe, her blue leather satchel slung over her shoulder, carrying a well-worn novel. The small shop was her sanctuary, a place where no one whispered about her family name or stared with fear in their eyes.

She settled into her usual corner, a cup of steaming hazelnut cappuccino in front of her, and lost herself in the pages of her book. But her peace was short-lived.

"Mrs Park."

The voice sent a chill down her spine. She glanced up to see a man in a tailored grey suit. His sharp features and cold eyes screamed trouble. She didn't recognize him, but the scar running down his jaw was a detail she wouldn't forget anytime soon.

"I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong person," she replied calmly, masking her fear.

The man smirked, clearly not buying her act. "Your brother has taken something from my boss. We believe he would do anything to get it back. Even if that means coming for you."

Her heart raced. Jayden had always assured her that she was untouchable. But now, here she was, face-to-face with a threat she never anticipated.

The man extended a hand. "You're coming with me."

Ryuvyna's mind raced. She could feel the weight of every eye in the cafe on her. With a deep breath, she stood, clutching her satchel. But instead of walking towards the man, she turned on her heel and bolted toward the back exit.

Chaos erupted behind her as tables overturned and customers screamed. She shoved open the door, stepping into the rain-soaked alley. Footsteps thundered behind her, growing louder. Her chest tightened as she turned corner after corner, desperately searching for an escape.

Just as her legs threatened to give out, a dark red car screeched to a halt in front of her. The tinted window rolled down, revealing Jayden's steely gaze.

"Get in, Ryuvyna. Now."

Without hesitation, she dove into the car. Jayden's men opened fire on her pursuers as the car sped away. She slumped in the seat, her breaths ragged.

"Why didn't you tell me they were after me?" she snapped, glaring at her brother.

Jayden's jaw tightened. "Because I didn't think they'd dare. But they made a mistake coming for you." His voice dropped, laced with fury. "And I'll make sure they regret it."

For the first time, Elena realized there was no escaping the shadows of her family. Her life was tied to the Park name, whether she liked it or not. And the war that had been brewing in the underworld was about to hit far too close to home.
