Anaya eyed the chaos that had overtaken her bedroom, a result of her frantic search for the perfect outfit for the party she had agreed to attend. Her phone buzzed, and she was stunned to see a message from Aarohi, complete with the venue, time, and even a chauffeur. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of self-consciousness. Aarohi had never been particularly friendly to her before, and Anaya couldn't fathom why she was suddenly being so sweet.
"Does she want to be friends with me?" Anaya wondered as she sifted through her clothes.
She didn't want to wear anything too eye-catching or revealing; unwanted attention was the last thing she needed. She had never been to a party like this before; her life had revolved around her studies, impressing her parents, and moving from school to school due to her father's transfer. She had never cared to make friends since she knew she wouldn't be sticking around long enough to form any lasting attachments.
"I don't have anything to wear," she lamented, sighing.
"But you have too many clothes," her subconscious countered.
"I have clothes, but I don't have an outfit," she explained.
Finally, her eyes landed on the black dress that lay buried beneath the pile of clothes. She quickly removed everything in her way and held the dress up to her body.
"Perfect," she murmured, a sense of relief washing over her.
That was her last year's birthday dress.
The black dress is a timeless classic that exudes elegance and sophistication. The fabric is soft to the touch and drapes beautifully, with a subtle sheen that catches the light just so. The dress has a simple yet flattering silhouette, hugging the body in all the right places and flaring out gently at the hem. The neckline is modest, with a hint of femininity in the way it frames the collarbone adding a touch of romance.| Anaya's outfit |
She washed her face and wore that dress, she only had a half hour to get ready, and for her, it wasn't enough. Her hairs were naturally wavy so she decided to leave it open without any barrier adding a little bit of volume with her hands to her hair.
