We all were sitting in a circle on the groud and started playing spin the bottle after Pearl suggested it.
This girl and her cheerful mood, I really don't know what to say to her.
I smiled inwardly thinking about her and how she can always make everyone laugh even when no one is in mood or if anyone is sad.
Rhea was sitting in front of me and I smiled at her, she is a nice girl. Especially after she has became Pearl's best friend she has been in our group. She really is a great friend.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when Pearl spinned the bottle and it landed on me and Rhea.
What the fuck!
I can't kiss her... I really can't. I have a girlfriend for fuck sake.
I heard someone clearing their throat I saw Rhea waiting for my answer
"Par..." Rhea started and I cut her off.
"Sorry." I looked directly in her eyes. "I am sorry but I can't." I looked at Pearl who i know will kill me after hearing this and then at Rhea "I have a girlfriend."
I looked at everyone who was shocked but I was mostly worried about Pearl.
"Umm it's ok Parker. I understand." Rhea said but I was looking at Pearl who looked so fucking angry at me.
Rhea started "Pea..." but before she could speak she got up and looked at me with anger and stormed inside the house.
I looked at everyone and stood up and run after her. She was in living room going towards her room when I reached her. I called out for her name but she didn't stopped so I grabbed her wrist and turned her towards me.
"Will you stop?" I shouted at her.
"I should stop? Seriously that is what you will say to me right now?" She asked with so much anger in her eyes. This is the first time I saw her this anger.
"Pea..." I started but she cut me off.
"Since when?" She asked me.
"What?" I asked
"Since when do you have a girlfriend?" She asked me.
I hesitated before replying "Two weeks" I replied with a small voice.
Instead of shouting at me she started laughing, she laughed so hard whkle clutching her stomach. Everyone looked at her confused who just came inside to see what is happening with both of us.
"Pearl?" I was so worried.
"Best friend...the world's best friend award goes to Parker Madden. My best friend, oh, sorry so called best friend" she looked at me "have a girlfriend and that also from two weeks whom I don't even know about. That is what you call best friends?" She shouted the last line.
"Pearl I...." She again cut me off and this time she had tears in her eyes.
"My best friend my fucking first best friend who promised me that we will fucking share everything hides the most important thing of his life. Do you know Parker? Everything, from last four years, I have shared every fucking thing with you, my parents problem, my mood swings, my periods, every fucking thing and this is what you did, I know I must be overreacting but you know right why I am doing this." She sniffed and clean her tears which were continuously coming from her eyes "Toady you broke a promise, a promise which was so important in our life you remember right because it was you who told me that the day we had a crush, we have someone special in our life, we will be the first one to know and we have to tell that person immediately but you broke it. And I hate the person who breaks their promises." She looked at me with teary eyes.
"Pearl I am sorry I swear I was going to tell you about it but I didn't got time...."
She smiled "It's ok, It's really ok Parker. I am giving you time now. Spend it with your girlfriend no one is coming in between but you know that if you ever need me I am always here but now you got your time which you should spend with her." She said this and turned around and went upstairs to her room and slam the door.
And there I was standing thinking how could I forget the promise the first promise I made because she told me about her first crush and I always know about her crush but I hid the think she always was sensitive about 'Finding a perfect partner for me'. Was making this girlfriend and not telling her was a bad idea?
