Meeting the friends?!

I got dressed just in time as the bell rang piercing my ears. I left my room and followed a bunch of students to wherever we had to go next. Then I saw Eric as he headed my way, flashing me a gorgeous grin.

"Hey" he greeted sweetly

"Hey, Eric" I smiled back

"So... Where are you going?" He asked, still smiling at me

"I don't even know" I replied with a shrug

"You're lucky that I can be of help" he teased as he patted my head

I stuck my tongue out at him and scrunched my nose up.

He laughed hard and put an arm around my shoulders "Come on, we have assembly"

I jumped at his sudden touch. I was not expecting that. A warm feeling rushed through my body.. Was I falling for Eric?

When we got into the hall we sat in the front row beside each other and waited for a woman to start up the microphone.

The same old woman from yesterday's assembly stood elegantly at the microphone and she held a pile of decorated paper.

"Good afternoon, Emeraldians" she began "I have called you all together to make an announcement"

Is it just me or does she always start the assembly like that?!

"We are hosting a Princess competition this month, as always, and contestants can sign up outside my office" she paused "I wouldn't put your heart to it as we all know our all round winner is, of course, Grace Spear"

Everyone clapped wildly and I could make out a clear image of Grace pretending to be flattered...
The woman shooshed us and carried on "I will be voting on the winner, again, this year. You will now be dismissed"

The woman let us out in rows again and we exited the hall. The bells went off making me jump.

"Looks like its time for lunch" Eric spoke from behind me

I turned around and smiled "Thanks but I'm not hungry, and I don't want to be eating some contaminated food"

"So our food is contaminated now? " he had a slight frown upon his face

"It might do" I replied with a shrug

"Please come, you need to meet my friends. They're awesome, you'll love them! " he encouraged

"Meeting the friends? You sound like were 6 months into a relationship" I gagged in a jokey way

He broke into a soft smile and grabbed my hand in his big, manly ones. His actions were so sudden and I started to blush.

"But you would like that wouldn't you? " he smirked

I released my hand from his and changed the subject "Wow, i'm suddenly so hungry. Lets go"

"After you" he smiled and we walked to the lunch hall.

Everywhere was so busy from people sitting down to people walking around. Eric gently pulled me to a queue.

"This line is so long! Do you expect me to wait forever?! " I moaned with disbelief

"Watch me do my magic" he winked at me and turned to a girl in front of him.

"Hey, beautiful... Do you think I could go ahead of you? " he asked her, his big eyes shine pleadingly

"Anything for you, Eric" woah she even knew his name... He must be popular I guess?

And this continued until we were first in queue. I got a pasta salad and Eric got a pizza.

"That'll be 3 pounds please" the lady behind the cashier requested. My eyes widened in realisation as I remembered leaving my purse in my room.

"Oh, I'm paying for her" Eric stepped in and paid for the both of us. I was so grateful!!

"Thank-you so much! You're so... Kind" I thanked him for the millionth time.

"I already said its fine" he smiled tiredly. "Look, my friends are over there!" he pointed to a small table with a bunch of boys.

I almost dropped my pasta as i realised that amongst the boys was... Mason!

"Are you okay?" Eric was now standing in front of me, gripping my shoulders softly. I must've been staring long to not have noticed...

I nodded hesitantly and we headed over to the table. Eric sat down opposite a black haired boy and i sat beside him awkwardly staring down.

Wait... This is not like me, im never this shy! What is happening to me. I instantly snapped my head up. I need to pull it together!

"Guys, this is Alex" Eric wrapped his arm round my shoulders. And stupidly i jumped.

"I know" Mason replied with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, hi" i looked down without thought. I guess the shower incident had really put me off and it was just soooo awkward!

"Wait, you guys already know each other?!" Eric looked interested now.

"Yeah, we met on her first day" Mason shrugged

"How?" Eric asked, getting comfortable. Ugh, did he have to, really?!

"We sort of met in the corridors when she was lost" Mason answered again with a shock. I stared straight into his deep brown eyes as he flashed me a small smile.

"okay... But you guys seem more intimate... Are you sure you-" Eric investigated further, annoyingly.

"So who are you guys?!" I piped in, cutting Eric off before deeper things were exposed

A boy with brown curly hair who was sitting opposite me answered "I'm Harry"

I nodded and smiled back snd turned towards the black haired guy. His black hair fell against his pale face covering one eye and he had a nose piercing on the left side of his nose. He had dull green eyes but... Damn, he was gorgeous!

"I'm Rome" he answered bluntly, still picking at his food.

"Ignore Romey boy, he's always like this" Harry teased Rome by messing with his hair playfully.
