Night time prank

"Honestly, this was a stupid idea!" I yelled at Eric and Mason.

"Shhh!" Eric covered my mouth

I bit hard on his finger and he quickly pulled back and silently cried in pain. I felt my lips spread in amusement

"What the hec?!" he whisper shouted, his expression twisted

"Guys, shhh! I can hear them coming!" Mason warned us. The footsteps became louder every second and i had an excited feeling in my stomach.

The footsteps stopped just in front of our door and i had to bite my lip back to stop me from screaming. I could feel eric squeezing my hand softly, which gave me a tingly feeling.

Suddenly, the door swung open and there stood Harry and Rome.

"Found you!" Harry yelled, glee lit up on his face. He then turned towards Rome and pushed him lightly on his shoulder, before saying "I told you they would be here!"

"I dont care. I didnt even want to play this silly game in the first place" Rome replied with a shrug.

Mason jumped out of the cupboard and into the hallway. Eric took my hand in his and gently helped me out.

"Woah, its seven o'clock already?!" Harry shouted with disbelief

This caused me to jump as i rolled my eyes in response.

"Looks like we need to be heading back to our dorms" Mason confirmed

"Yeah, Alex are you okay to go by yourself?" Eric asked, still gripping my hand.

"Yeah, no big deal" i lied. I didnt even know the way.

"So you've learnt your way round on your second day?" Harry smirked

"Yess...." i still lied.

"Why dont you guys head back on. Ill show Alex back to her dorm" Mason offered, staring deep into my eyes. I quickly pulled away from his gaze and smiled lightly as i stared at my feet.

Eric gave me a friendly hug and the rest of them headed back leaving just me and Mason.

"This way" Mason gestured as i followed beside him.

"So... About this morning, when i..." Mason started "Well, i just wanted to say im really sorry and i just had an overdose"

"You takes drugs?!" The words accidentally slipped from my lips. I instantly regretted it as i mentally kicked myself.

He had a slight frown on his face but it quickly faded as he let out a small chuckle.

"No. I dont take drugs. Its nothing like that, dont worry" he replied with a warm smile

We soon arrived at my room door, and that was when the question i had wanted to ask rushed to my head.

"Um.. Mason?" i cooed

"Yeah..?" he dragged the h as he stared at me with anxious eyes.

"This morning, you were going to tell me something. What was it?" i got straight to the point

He looked confused for a moment, but soon after his eyebrows finally raised in realisation.

"Oh, um i was going to say-" before he could even answer he was cut off by a lights warden.

"Its time for lights out! And no men allowed in the womens section! Evacuate now, please!" the warden yelled

Mason looked apologetic as he waved goodbye to me and jogged off down the corridor, his silhouette getting smaller and smaller...
