It was a week and 4 days into your 7th year at Hogwarts. For all that had happened your 5th year, including the loss of Professor fig; a professor you had come to love like a parent, you had excelled in your classes. Your professors were honestly shocked you had made it through 5th year. And with the support of your fellow classmates you made it through your 6th year, all while grieving heavily over the loss of your beloved professor as well as dealing with the trauma of your entire 5th year.

Professor Weasley had set you up with counseling to help you cope and talk through all you went through. Although she knew the general idea of what had been happening she didn't have all the details and she thankfully never pressed you for details.

You had grown extremely close with two of your fellow Slytherin's, specifically Hogwarts 'best duelist', Sebastian Sallow and the one who may be blind but can sniff out bullshit like no other, Ominis Gaunt. The two of them had experienced a lot with you during your 5th year at Hogwarts.

Sebastian was also seeing a counselor to help with some of the trauma he had experienced after killing his uncle and losing his twin sister Anne in the middle of his 6th year. You two would frequently attend counseling back to back and wait for the other before meeting Ominis to lift your spirits over a butterbeer or three.

You had just finished beasts class, your last class for the day. You made your way to the library to get some studying in for a potions class test tomorrow. You made your way upstairs in the library securing your favorite table in the back where you would often hole up and study for long periods of time.

Scribner was gracious in letting you stay sometimes even after she left for the night, following a discussion with professor Weasley about needing a quiet place to study away from prying eyes. In all honesty you had plenty of places you could go and hide away to study but you felt the most comfortable in the corner of the dark library, surrounded with the smell of old books, and the ambiance the Hogwarts library offered.

You would hide here for hours reading books, studying for tests, or even hiding away from other students who seemed to forget you existed once you hid in a dark corner of the library. Ominis was really the only one who knew where you went to hide. He swore to keep his lips sealed even from Sebastian

You adored them, but sometimes you needed a break from Sebastian talking about his escapades and Ominis constantly momming you. Your potions textbook thudded to the table as you sighed. Only after glancing around did you realize the hours had gone by rather too quickly and the library was quiet and dark around you. You took a moment to rub your eyes and pull an apple out of your robe that you had stashed from lunch. It wasn't much but it would have to suffice seeing as you had missed dinner.

As you took your last bite of your apple, you heard the familiar flap of an owls wings as a note dropped neatly into your open textbook in front of you. You leaned forward, apparating your apple core into the trash and picking up the note, unrolling the neat parchment to see the all too familiar scrawl of Ominis' auto dictating quill. 'Miss Y/L/N, Sebastian is finding it rather hard to get comfortable in the dorms tonight and has asked if we can stay in the undercroft with him tonight. We are headed that way now if you would like to join us, feel free to bring your study materials with you. -Ominis'

You smiled at the note and rerolled it before gathering your open textbook and notes off the table. You made a quick stop by the dorms to gather pajamas before making your way to the secret spot in the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower. The mechanisms whirred around you as you arrived in the Undercroft. The warm glow of a fireplace you had conjured at the beginning of 6th year, greeted you.

You stepped out and the surprised gaze of Sebastian met your gaze from the couch, in front of the fireplace, you had also conjured about the same time as the fireplace last year. More like a bed, it was atrociously large, big enough to lay books across and have an intense study session or sleep the three of you comfortably on nights you decided to have a sleepover.
