Alia felt a soft hand touch her cheek. Slowly opening her eyes, she saw a man standing in front of her, a small child in his hand. She blinked a few times to see more clearly.
"Reizan?" Alia softly murmured to herself.
"Yes" Reizan replied, looking down at her with amusement. Anaya softly gurgled while she was on his right hip.

Reizan looked away and walked to the large dining table in the middle of the courtyard, it was surrounded by plants. Alia couldn't bring herself to see that Reizan loved being surrounded by them. He placed Anaya on the tall baby chair. She looked again. Baby chair. How did she not notice it? He strapped her so that she wouldn't fall and went back to the kitchen. He came back with a small bowl and a spoon. I walked up to the table and sat next to the chair. Reizan sat opposite and remained silent. He began feeding Anaya and caressed her black curly hair.
"I have fully dismissed fatma" Reizan began, bringing the spoon up to Anayas mouth. Anaya softly giggled when he landed a small amount of mush near her lip.
I nodded and went back to looking at both of them. I never knew a man and child could make a man look so attractive.

"I will provide everything for you Alia, but I want something in return" I looked up at him, scrunching my eyebrows in confusion.
"Please take Anaya back to Turkey with you" If looks could kill both of us were staring at eachother, our eyes were speaking for our words. His eyes were intimidating.
"Of course" I smiled and stroked Anayas hair. It was like Anaya was the key to us becoming closer.

"I want to help you as much as I can in finding your brother, I even remember him when he was younger." He said while looking for my reaction.
"You knew us?" I asked, trying to think back to my childhood.
"Our parents were pretty close, my late mother knew your parents" I tried to remember an image of us but nothing came to mind.
"I remember your grandmother too, we used to be very close, she treated me like a son" He added. I didn't know what to say.
"Is Anaya yours?" I asked curiously, waiting for an answer.
"No, she is my niece" He answered. "I am her protecter, just as I am yours" I looked up at him and saw him grinning with cheekiness.
"I hope you will be a good protecter for Anaya when you leave for Turkey" he said, feeding the last pieces of the mush to Anaya.
"I will" I smiled as I got up and went to the kitchen to bring a cloth for Anayas mouth.
As I was going back to the table, I noticed that they had already got up and she had already been cleaned.

"I always have a spare one with me Alia" He said before plopping her onto the floor. There were a few toys in the corner but everything looked neat and tidy like it wasn't touched for decades.
"I have to go now" he said before getting the keys from the dining table. He began walking to the front door and he left.
I went and sat myself down next to Alia. Why did he dismiss Fatma? How was Alia ever going to meet her brother?
"My baby, I have to take care of you but then I lose out on my only brother" Alia began stroking Anayas curls while she was fidgeting with a small toy. She had to figure out how to care for a child. She never had to and now she had to learn for Reizan. She couldn't let Reizan down because she wouldn't be here in Jordan without him.
When will I ever get to see my brother?

Anaya started crying so Alia took her back upstairs to her room. Alias thoughts were poisoning her mind. Why did he dismiss her when she needed Fatma the most. Maybe she did something wrong? But she seemed so innocent.. but looks can be deceiving. No matter what happened, she trusted Reizan even if she hardly knew him.

Alia had to remind herself that she had to take care of an actual baby. She placed Anaya on the changing table, she knew the cries were not for food or anything else, moreover she knew the smell exactly.

After she finished, she placed Anaya into the crib to let her sleep but Anaya was softly murmuring in her sleep. Alia stood over the crib looking at Anaya, bright blue eyes looking back at her curiously. She took Anaya out of the crib and placed her onto the side of the bed facing the wall so she didn't fall. Aria layed beside her, protective of her from falling of the small single bed to just fit them both.

Both of them asleep, Aria facing her as Anaya had her thumb in her mouth, peaceful and tranquil the both of them. Aria was less worried, less nervous. Hours passed.

Alia suddenly awoke, noticing the time. They had slept 6 hours. She was curious how Anaya didn't wake up once or cry. She had to make Anayas formula or food in general. Alia got up careful not to wake up Anaya and then closed the door behind her. She walked downstairs and checked all the doors were locked, the curtains drawn. She wondered if there were any security, surely there had to be since it was such a massive house where everything could be seen. Maybe there was security around the house and she hadn't noticed. After locking all the doors, she went to the kitchen to make some milk.

"What are you doing?" Alia heard a masculine voice behind me. She clutched her heart in shock. She turned around to be met with a hard chest. Reizan. She looked up, he was way taller than her. Alia's tummy was fluttering. Butterflies exposed.
"I must be asking you where you have been this whole time Reizan?" Alia cheekily raised an eyebrow and put a hand on her hip.
"I was at work, where else?" He scoffed. "Where else would you think I would be Alia?"
He said her name with such ease, as if he was the only one to mutter her name like that.
Alia went back to warming the milk and putting it into a baby bottle.
"Do you know how my grandmother did all the marriage certificates so quickly?" Alia asked curiously. She didn't know if she could fully trust. reizan. How could her grandmother make the fake certificates when you needed a witness for marriage. Questions still spiralled in her head.
"Let me do it" Reizan added before getting the baby bottle and securing the lid on it.
"And to answer your question, even I do not know Alia. All I know is that our parents wanted us to marry since young" He said before walking out of the kitchen. I followed behind him where he went to Anayas room. He left the room slightly open for me, he bent down near the single bed where Anaya was sleeping. Anaya was slowly getting up, her small arms facing upwards to stretch. A cute yawn left her mouth as she noticed Reizan and immediately scooted closer to him. She put his arms around Reizans neck and Reizan put his large hand behind her head as she snuggled into his fragrance of cologne.

I stood behind them as I didn't want to ruin their moment. I shut the door behind me as I began to walk to the room that I hadn't checked. I opened the door and I saw which was possibly a guest room. It was right next to the room that was locked. Alia wondered what was in the room. What was Reizans job? Did he own a business?

One minute Alia was checking out the guest room, a second later Reizan with Anaya on his hip came running in. He pushed Alia to the ground and covered them all with with his arms. It was a miniature earthquake. The room began to shake violently, decorations on the bedside cabinet fell to the floor. It was a small earthquake but still it felt deadly enough to kill.
"It will be over soon" Reizan whispered to Alia.
