ANIMAl CLINIC

"What do you mean, "No?"" Liam asked.

"Liam, look at them," Scott said. "They're too weak. It will kill them. We don't even know what the mercury's doing to them. We don't even know if it's actually mercury. This can't be the only way to save them."

"It saved mine."

"You know that was different. You were hanging off a ledge."

"You promised. You said you'd do everything you could."

"Which is why I'm not going to do something I think is going to kill them. There has to be... There has to..."

"Scott!" Theo called.

"There's another way to save them."

"Guys, I don't know what the statistics are for surviving a werewolf bite, but they're definitely not surviving this. We need to do something."

Stiles ran into the clinic, avoiding Theo and Scott's gazes and stroked his cousin's hair back. "I've got to go do something, but I'll come back, Lena. Okay? I promise. I won't make a deal, but I'll do something." He kissed her forehead and smiled sadly.

He glared at Theo and Scott before leaving the clinic.

When Melissa arrived, she began setting something up and Liam asked, "Okay, what's that?"

"It's called chelation therapy," Melissa replied. "It removes heavy metals from the blood. But, the problem is... is that it can injure the kidneys, and Hayden only has one to begin with, so..." The girls screamed.

"Hey, you're hurting them!"

"And you're hurting me."

"Sorry..."

"Hey guys?" Theo called. "Remember, we're here to save two lives, not kill each other."

"It's the full moon," Scott realized. "We can feel it, even during the day. And, it's a supermoon."

"What, is that supposed to make you guys, like, super strong?" Melissa asked. "Super aggressive?"

"Both."

"You know we're going to need help with him..." Theo trailed.

"He'll be all right," Scott told him.

"He's sixteen and in love. First love. You remember what that's like?"

"Yeah... Trust me, I remember."

"All those emotions mixed with the supermoon... Tonight isn't going to be good."

Scott sighed. "I know."

"We need help -- and I don't mean restraints or chains. I mean Malia, Stiles, Lydia... You need your pack, Scott."

"I'm not so sure I have one anymore."

"Let me talk to them. Let me see what I can do. Okay?"

"Theo... Thank you. Wait; why did Stiles look so angry at you?"

Theo shrugged. "He's just worried about his cousin."

"Yeah, he is. I hope we can find something to help her."

"I hope so too."

Melissa's expression was concerned as she gently laid her hands on Hayden and Kasia's shoulders as the young Chimeras slept fitfully on the exam table. Meanwhile, in the waiting room, Scott had fallen asleep sprawled over two of the chairs. Unbeknownst to him, Liam was standing in the doorway, glaring at him with such a furious expression that his irises began to blaze bright gold, indicating the supermoon was continuing to affect him.
