A Happy Ending

Chapter.I

18th May, 2023

Nayeon texts Jeongyeon.

Nayeon:
Hi, are you home?

Jeongyeon:
Yes I am, why?

Nayeon:
Can I come over?

Jeongyeon:
Yep come over, I'm very bored anyways

Nayeon:
Okay be there in 5

Jeongyeon:
Can't wait:))

Nayeon goes over to Jeongyeon's house and rings the doorbell.

"Hi, come on in" Jeongyeon says to her. "So how are you"? Nayeon asks her after she sits on the couch. "I'm fine, how bout you"? Jeong tells her. "I'm not so good" Nayeon says with a sad face. "I've been crying for the past couple days. "Ohh why is that"? Jeong asks worried.

Nayeon POV

Should I just tell her that I was crying over her cause I saw her with Sana, when i love her but i haven't told her yet? No don't, just change the topic, that's what's best right now.

"Nope that's not important, you tell me how you've been doing"? Nayeon changes the topic". "No, you're clearly lying, now tell me what's up, what's eating you"? Jeong says while she keeps her hand on Nayeon's shoulder bending towards the smaller. "I said it's fine, Jeongie, I'm fine, it's not important". "Okay as you wish, let's watch something, I'm bored".

Jeongyeon and Nayeon started watching a movie on the couch. Nayeon ultimately fell asleep there and then. She noticed it and woke up Nayeon by shaking her. "Yahh, this is not your house, go and sleep in your house" Jeongyeon says annoyed. "Jeongie just for this time, please please" Nayeon pleaded. "Okay, I'm gonna finish up some work, sleep then, I'll wake you up after a couple of hours" Jeongyeon says patting her head.

Nayeon dreamt of something in her sleep. So the dream:

Nayeon was in her room getting ready for the day when she got a call. Hi, Jeongyeon says. Yes tell me Jeongie. I wanted to tell you something. Okay, go on? Not on call, we'll meet at our usual place. Okay, I'll be there in 5. Nayeon goes over to the place and sees Jeongyeon, her best friend. Nayeon, I think I like you, will you date me?

And Nayeon woke up.

Nayeon POV

"What what what? Oh fuck, this was a dream". Jeongyeon doesn't think of me that way, there's no way she'll accept my confession. She thinks of me only as her bestie, Nayeoniee. I don't think she'll ever date me, she's too cool for me. She'll find someone else. I'll leave now, she'll be disturbed otherwise, she's probably in her room. Sometimes I wish, how lovely would it be if we are on the same bed in her room, and then a magical time, I love you Jeongie, I wish we were lovers, but she has Sana, let's not forget that.

And Nayeon leaves, Jeongyeon doesn't notice cause she's wearing her earphones and working.

"Okay time to wake Nayeon up" Jeongyeon saw the alarm on her phone. She went to the couch in the living room but she didn't find her. She calls Nayeon. "Yahh, why did you just leave, you could have told me, I was worried" Jeongyeon says. "Sorry Jeongie I thought I would disturb you so I left, sorry again" Nayeon says.

They hung up the call. Nayeon went to the nearby café and had some snacks and coffee. She saw Jeongyeon and Sana over there. She got so jealous and felt like strangling her. But she just knew she can't do anything. She left. Luckily they didn't see her.

Nayeon calls Jeongyeon later at night and finally decides to confess. "Jeongie, can we talk"? She says. "Yes what's up"? Jeong asks. "Not on call, we need to meet cause this is big, real big". "Okay come over to my house cause I just took a shower" Jeongyeon says.

Nayeon POV

Damn that's hot!! I wanna see her so bad. Alright Nayeon, you can do this, you can do this!! I'm gonna confess now.

"Okay Jeongie, I'll be there in 10" Nayeon says. Nayeon goes over to Jeongyeon's house and enters. Jeongyeon was wearing shorts and a sleeveless top with a jacket on and her wet short hair. Nayeon was wearing her skirt with a crop top. "Hi, oh wow you look good" Jeongyeon says. Nayeon says, thanks you too, can I come in now"? Nayeon asks. "Yep sure, come on in". "Soooo.... what was it you were gonna say"? Jeongyeon asks. Look Jeongyeon, I don't know how to say this, but I like you, love you, I get it if you don't want to be with me, cause you're with Sana-" Oh no, you got it all wrong, I'm not with Sana, she's just my friend" Jeongyeon says. "So, you like me, huh, am I that handsome"? Jeongyeon smirks at her. "Jeong I'm serious, I really like you a lot and will always do even if you reject me". Look, Nayeon, I need time to think about this, this happened so fast I need time" Jeongyeon says. "Take all the time you want, I'll wait for you, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, or forever, I'll always wait for you" Nayeon says. "Is that the reason you were crying for the couple days, and no you don't need to wait long, I'll answer you soon" Jeongyeon assures her. "Okay, can I sleep at your place tonight, I feel lonely..." Nayeon pleads almost crying. "Okay okay, stop crying, come in". She entered Jeongyeon's house and changed into her night dress in Jeongyeon's bathroom cause she carried it with her and washed her face cause she was crying and went to sleep on the couch. "Jeongie...." Nayeon said. "What happened" Jeongyeon asks yawning. "My back hurts, can you massage it, pretty please...."? Nayeon asks. "Girl, I'm tired, please let me sleep" Jeongyeon says."Okay..." Nayeon says. "Goodnight Jeongie" she further says. "Goodnight, sleep well, see ya in the morning". Nayeon sleeps on the couch and Jeongyeon goes in her bedroom and sleeps.

In the middle of the night, around 2 am

Nayeon can't sleep. She goes to Jeongyeon's bedroom and wakes her up. "Jeongie, I can't sleep, can I sleep with you"? Jeongyeon wakes up and opens her arms for Nayeon to come in. She sleeps with Jeongyeon. She looks at Jeongyeon while she's asleep and smiles.

Nayeon POV

She looks so cute while sleeping, I wish we lived together and dated each other.
