Draco’s POV:
While your family did not accompany you back to school, Vlad did. Vlad wasn’t young, but he looked it which is why your father recruited him to watch over you at school. What bothered you most about Vlad was that he showed absolutely no emotion whatsoever. It was really creepy. The professors were under the impression that Vlad’s presence was requested by your father to make sure you attended classes and got good marks. But he was really there to make sure you didn’t contact Andrea or try to run again. You sat next to him at the Slytherin table at dinner, and all of your friends watched him uncomfortably.
“Vlad, you could at least try to blend in a little better. Everyone thinks you’re a psycho killer.” You whispered. Vlad nodded and attempted what you guessed was a smile but came out as more of a grimace. It was even more frightening than his previous expression, or lack thereof.
“Nevermind, just keep doing what you’re doing.” you said. Just then you saw Felicia stand from the other side of the table and head for the doors. You got up and rushed to her. You attempted to shake Vlad whenever possible, but he stuck to you like glue. You had no idea how he did it. You jogged to catch up to her, Vlad hot on your tail.
“Hey Felicia, can we talk?”
“Okay.” She said, stopping in the hall and facing you.
“Not… Not here. In private?” you asked hopefully. Felicia seemed hesitant, but nodded and the two of you entered the common room and then up to the boys dorms. Once you both entered the room you attempted to shut the door but Vlad blocked your way, slipping inside as well and standing quietly in the corner. You shook your head but joined Felicia who had taken a seat on your bed.
“What did you want to talk about?”
“I just…” you paused, trying to pick your words carefully. “I don’t want you to be upset with me anymore. I know that this whole situation isn’t ideal.”
“Ideal? Yeah, I’d say that’s accurate.” she said, suppressing a snort. You chuckled and sat down next to her. Then you surprised her by taking her hand in yours.
“But it isn’t the worst thing in the world. I mean, don’t you remember what it was like between us before this all happened?”
“Yes, I do. We had fun. We might have even been friends.” She smiled, remembering.
“We were friends. Aren’t we still?”
“I… I don’t know. I kind of thought that you didn’t want to be my friend.”
“I want to be so much more than just your friend, Felicia. I want to be your husband.” You said pleadingly. A hint of a smile passed across her lips. You took that as your opportunity. You leaned forward and kissed her softly. She gasped in surprise and after a second pulled away from you.
“Draco, I can’t.” she said, walking to the window. You followed and took her arm, twirling her around to face him.
“Why not? I would make you happy, wouldn’t I?”
“Well, yes… but…”
“But nothing. It’s what everyone wants. It’s what we want. Let’s just go for it!” he said. Her guarded demeanor dropped at your words and she smiled a wide smile. You kissed her again, hungrily. She wrapped her arms around your neck and pulled you closer. Just as your tongue entered her mouth she broke away from you.
“Draco?” she asked, then her eyes darted in the direction of the door. Vlad still stood there, arms crossed and watching you both. You motioned for her to stay put, then hurried to Vlad.
