The next morning, the trio was stuck with the same dilemma as before. What should they do with the extra time? Hermione was thinking of starting to read her book, while Ron was suggesting he and Harry see if they can get Harry's broom back. It would be pointless though, the weather wasn't good for Quidditch practice right now, not with hail. Hermione suggested he start on his essay that was due the next day, but Ron reminded her that she owed him for going to look for her History of Magic textbook, so he wouldn't be starting it until that afternoon. Plus, Hermione was letting him borrow her notes as her book ended up being in her bag all along. Harry grinned at the two of them, bickering like an old married couple. He wasn't all too sure of what he was going to do that weekend. He'd finished his work last night with Hermione, so he didn't have anything that needed his immediate attention. He glanced up at the staff table, Snape wasn't there. This was normal, Snape usually wasn't at breakfast unless you got here really early. Harry assumed he'd be in his classroom or office, mentally bracing himself for another day of having to deal with students.
"Harry wan't to play Quidditch, right?"
Harry looked over at his friend, "Huh?"
Ron blinked.
"I told you." Hermione said, crossing her arms, a triumphant look on her face.
Harry laughed, "What did I do?"
"Hermione's still trying to make me do homework." Ron complained to his friend, "Tell her you want to go play Quidditch."
Harry scratched the back of his head, "Actually..."
Ron perked up, "You don't?"
"Ron- It's literally hail outside. Sorry, but for not having been on a broom in about a month and a half, I'd rather not be going out when we have golf balls hitting the windows."
Hermione laughed while Ron's shocked face became one of confusion.
"Golf balls?"
"It's another muggle sport." Hermione told him.
Ron shook his head, "Muggles have too many sports." He looked back over at Harry, "What are you gonna do instead?"
Harry chewed on the thought for a moment, "I was debating on going to talk to Snape."
Hermione's face lit up, "Really?!"
The boy nodded.
"Harry!" She exclaimed, "Of course you should!"
The boy bit his lip, "I dunno. What if it's a bother?"
"Isn't this the same guy who literally attacked someone for you?" Ron said, raising an eyebrow.
Harry paused. Yes, that was true. Though, he may have left out the part about it being very awkward between the two of them since that day's events. Especially after Harry had hugged the man... He still didn't know what had come over him at that moment.
"That's kind of why it's awkward now." Harry admitted.
"It's only going to get more awkward the longer you wait." Hermione told him, "Honestly, it seems as though it's been this way for months. Just how many times have Ron or I had to convince you to talk to him this year? Probably half of our conversations have been about it for Merlin's sake!"
Ron nodded, "She does have a point there, Harry."
Harry groaned, "It's not that simple."
"What can be more simple?" Hermione asked, "Just open your mouth and make words come out."
"That's a lot harder than you make it sound."
"You're doing it right now."
"Are you Snape? No, I didn't think so."
