Chapter 15:
Yakunan's POV
I woke up in the same room as I had for a few days now. Due to the limited rooms, Sakura and I shared one. Right now her futon was folded and neat, and she wasn't in it. I got up and stretched. As I yawned, I left the room and began to go to the kitchen where I suspected everyone was.
Sure enough, everyone was at the table, either eating or drinking tea. Naruto and Sasuke were in a hurry to finish their food. Sakura was talking to Tsunami and Kakashi was talking to Tazuna. There was a little boy with a fedora just sitting there, playing with his food. Must be Tsunami's son or something. 'Good morning everyone!' I signed to Kakashi who translated.
"It's not morning anymore, Ya-chan! Its almost noon, believe it!" Naruto complained.
'Why didn't you wake me?!' I signed to Kakashi.
Kakashi sipped his tea and gave me a closed eye smile. "If I did, then you would've tried to kill me~." My eyebrow twitched, but I didn't argue. I rolled my eyes and sat down. A cup of deep red tea was passed over to me and some eggs. I ate my eggs and drank the red tea. It was almost the same color as my scarf.
That reminds me. I took out my note pad and wrote a note to Tsunami. 'Do you have my red scarf?' I gave her the note and she looked at me funny.
"Scarf? What red scarf?" My entire world froze and Kakashi stiffened.
"Right, Yakunan. About that scarf, um..." He seemed to be at a loss for words.
"What about my scarf, Kakashi?" I said in a low, deadly tone. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me, surprise was on everyone's face, after hearing me talk. "Do you have it?"
"Well, you see, when you came in, you never had the scarf on. We can only assume that it was left back at Gato's hideout." He finished and I pushed away from the table, startling everyone. I got up and went for the door. "Where are you going, Yakunan?" Kakashi questioned as I put my hand on the handle.
"I'm getting my scarf." I said quietly in a firm voice.
"Stop. You can't leave! What if Gato captures you again?!" Kakashi argued.
"I'm getting my scarf, Kakashi." I repeated in a monotone, firm, voice.
"No, Yakunan. I forbid you to go. You're just putting yourself in danger!" He argued.
"C'mon Yakunan," Sakura said. "Its just a scarf anyway. If you want I'll buy you a prettier one in Konoha." I turned around and looked at Sakura, giving her a deadly glare. If looks could kill, she'd be in flames right now.
"It's not JUST A SCARF, Sakura!" I rose my voice a little. A deadly aura radiated off of me in waves making everyone scared. "It's MY scarf that my BROTHER gave to me. I can't just take it for granted like that. You wouldn't understand anyway, you get things all the time. Things are practically handed to you on a silver platter! You wouldn't understand how important this scarf is to me." I turned back around and walked out the door. "I'll be back tonight. If not then I'm probably dead or imprisoned somewhere. Don't come looking for me or you might get hurt." And with that I rushed away.
*-*-* AT TAZUNA'S HOUSE, 3RD POV *-*-*
A uncomfortable silence hung in the air at Tazuna's house. Team 7 sat there, stunned by their female teammate's words. Sakura grumbled to herself.
"Who does she think she is? Leaving like that! Even after our Sensei said no! Humph! She's got some nerve!" She said to no one inparticular. Kakashi rubbed his temples and sighed, not knowing what to do at this point.
