00 prologue

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. It truly was a magical place... it was all things beautiful. No one could deny it. The huge hedges that were cut into pathways that led up to the huge white castle, in which the students and professors at Beauxbatons lived, learned, and worked. Aside from that, the grass was always green and the garden was never not perfect as it was well kept. All types of flowers grew in the gardens, which sat near the edge of the water that surrounded the grounds of the school. It simply was a lively place, and this place seemed as though it could hold no evil.

Of course, it seemed. Amongst what everyone thought was the perfect school with all the perfect staff and perfect little students lived the girl who would bring absolute darkness to the wizarding world.

However, no one knew what was to come. After all, sweet, little, Vienna Dumont was just like the rest of them: young, pretty, and smart... but she was not oblivious to anything, especially the power that she held. Everyone else was oblivious though, and no one ever expected her, of all people.

I mean, why would they? She was sorted into Papillonlisse, the house of good nature, kindness, and everything nice. Obviously, there is no bad house, but one who was sorted into such a loving house would not be expected to be so dark.

Aside from her Beauxbatons house, Vienna came from the Dumont family... the most well known wizarding family in France. Maybe even in Europe. The Dumonts were believed to be royals by many because of their pure blood status, money, and regalness. One could never find the Dumont family looking or acting out of line because they were simply perfect... or so everyone thought.

As Vienna left Beauxbatons on June 17, 1996, everyone waved to her, and she waved back. This was partly because she really wanted to, but also because she wanted to keep her family's name on a clean slate. It is the little things that make people not suspect them, such as the polite actions, like waving to everyone and saying 'hello.' Because of those actions that the Dumonts are sure to display, no one really questions what goes on inside their house because believe me, they need to cover them up.

No one really knows what goes on deep inside the walls of the Dumont Abode.

But hey, who would question such a perfect family? Why even do so, if they are so perfect?

Anyways, everyone was especially sad to see Vienna and her little sister, Claire, go because it had been announced they would not be returning to Beauxbatons for their fourth and sixth years. Instead, they will be attending Hogwarts. It was said that their father got an amazing new job in southern England, one that he could not pass up.

Really, that was not entirely a lie. However, it was more of Vienna who got the amazing job because she was going to follow in the exact footsteps of her father. She could not be more excited. For years now, her parents have been training her for the very task she would learn of in a matter of weeks... and she could not be more excited because she was willing to do anything, and I mean anything, for the Dark Lord.
