It's 7 a.m. and David called us to get this supply drop. The air is cool and tight with the birds whistling in the trees. So here I am with Stephen sitting beside me, waiting for this truck to stop by.

I just so happen to glance over at Stephen and notice him smiling at me in a goofy way. "Nigga, what the fuck are you looking at?" I question him, raising my eyebrow.

"I met somebody last night," he annoyingly sings.

Rolling my eyes, I reply, "Who?"

"Devyn," he reveals, smiling ear to ear.

My mouth falls agape. "Stop lying."

"Why didn't you tell me she looked like Sade?"

I shake my head, realizing he's telling the truth. Damn, why this world gotta be so small? "Well, what did you say?" I ask, trying not to sound as interested.

Stephen shrugs his shoulders and opens his mouth. He looks over and sees the truck pulling up and blurts, "There go the truck." He completely ignored my question. He opens the car door and hops out of the car, and I follow behind.

If Stephen saw Devyn at the party, that meant Alexa got to go to Madison. Ain't no way Devyn is gonna be at a random Halloween party. I shouldn't even be tripping on her; I haven't seen her in days. I can imagine her being busy with her being at Madison, but damn, can't call a brother back?

Stephen and I walk up to the now-parked truck and watch one of David's workers get out. "Malik and Stephen?" the guy asks. We nod and he continues, "Boss Man said to meet him at his office when you get everything out of this truck."

We stand and watch as the man pulls up the door of the truck. He reveals boxes of rolls of wrapping paper. "Damn!" Stephen loudly explains. Usually, I wouldn't be on Stephen's side, but he was right. How the hell am I gonna fit this shit in my car?

"We gotta put all that in my car?!" I inquired, looking at the man up and down.

The man nods and says, "Good luck." He returns to the truck, leaving us with the hard work.
