Part Four
Eleven felt as if she needed to dump Mike. Mike was becoming ignorant, Max was encouraging El to break up with her boyfriend.
Max had a lightswitch relationship with Lucus meaning they were on and off constantly.
Separated by gender each group was an indvidual. Eleven supposed to be home happened to be out in the newest busy Starcourt Mall.
After hours of running around playing dress-up. In every store a new song from the latest Madonna album was playing.
Creating what felt like a music video montage that you would see on MTV. Max took Eleven to get some ice cream at Scoops Ahoy.Eleven was having the time of her life
. For the first time in her life Eleven felt free. Feeling a sense of being a normal teen for a day although she felt out of place.
Outcast psychopath she was empathic and just like her peers she wanted to be normal and fit in.
Threatening to burn anything near him, Will was going to explode with joy. Joy for her smile lit up the room.
Satisfaction from the utter ambitious chaos the day had brung. Will Byers was happy for once. For the first time since being back from the "dead".
Ear-splitting shrieks were heard from the girls. Squealing like a pig giving birth, Eleven was in the middle of her first sleepover.
Max was becoming her best friend without a detrital crisis on their hands.
The group was close, saving the world before you're thirteen does that. Will would take his first steps as a teenager with a rude awakening.
They were all finding themselves, somewhere Will found out if he truly loved Eleven like he thought he did. Maybe he was jealous of her?
At first, it was the time he was spending trying to live the years' wasted upside-down.
"Hey, I brought you some cookies." Joyce softly said knocking on his door as she entered, setting down the small plate with a couple of chocolate chip cookies.
"Thanks, Mom," Will replied, looking at Joyce. "If you want me to tell the girls to quiet down a bit I can Will," Joyce said, noticing the tone in her son's voice.
"No, it's fine Mom. Let El and Max have fun," Will said moving in his chair "Okay, I love you Will," Joyce said as she left her youngest son alone.
"Love you too mom." Will muttered, turning back to his newest project.
Drawing whatever came to mind, sometimes he could have a muse but his mind could be a blank slate. Will's body would draw and go through the motions of creating without him doing a thing.
Currently Eleven was his muse, the way her short hair fell to her shoulders and how she looked in his old clothes. Will, unlike Mike, was able to appreciate her for who she was.
Eventually Will left his room ato find the girls watching a movie in the living room. "What are you two watching?" Will asked walking over to sit on the couch next to Eleven.
"Clueless, followed by The Breakfast Club, and when Joyce is asleep, Friday the 13th." Max replied, grabbing a handful of popcorn. "Can I watch Friday the 13th with you tonight?" Will asked. "Yeah," Eleven replied Max nodded her head in agreement with Eleven.
"Cool," Will replied, reaching over to grab some popcorn from the coffee table. Looking at Max and Eleven giggling over something as they both continued to take handfuls of popcorn and lean their heads back as they dropped pieces in one by one. Jonathan walked into the house halfway through The Breakfast Club.
"Hey kids, what are you watching?" Jonthan asked with a beat sigh he loosened the tie around his neck and sat in a chair adjacent to Will. "Breakfast Club," Will responded.
"Really, you expect me to believe that you three are going to watch The Flintstones - The Flintstone Flyer/Hot Lips Hannigan." Jonathan said "Yes," Eleven replied focused on the movie.
"What's really in here?" Jonathan asked "Friday the 13th." Max hesitantly admitted afriad that he might hit her for lying like Billy does. "Who rented this to you? I just wanna know and I won't tell mom. Only if you tell me what it is." Jonathan said, surprisingly chill.
"I think her name was like April, I don't know but she is nice and I think she was one of my brother's hookups." Max spilled "Okay next time I go to Blockbuster you are coming with me kid." Jonathan said "Sure," Max agreed, unsure if it was a good idea.
Between that night and the rest of the summer Will had learned sometimes when you look up from rock bottom you can see the stars. In order to heal you have to stay away from what broke you.
In theory this would work if it was a movie that scared you as a child and you hadn't watched it again until you were older if not ever.
"I'll be right back," Will whispered to Eleven who was half asleep, lying on him, slightly shieleding herself from the movie. "Mhm," She mumbled as she shifted herself off of him.
In the bathroom Will looked at himself in the mirror long and hard. He watched his chest rise and the way it felt like normal.
Yet, something still felt wrong, as he exited a slightly dishevled appearance wise Jonathan decided to scare him.
"Boo!" Jonathan whispered, jumping out from behind the door. Laughing at the face Will made as well as the face he jumped so far.
"Dick," Will said, shoving his older brother playfully, smiling and snickering a bit as he got back to the living room.
"Night you two, get to bed soon okay." Jonnthan said Max had already passed out on the other end of the couch.
Eventually the movie ended and Will was the only one awake. Max was halfway off the couch and Eleven was asleep on him.
Gently Will moved Max back onto the couch so she wouldn't fall and wake the whole house up. Then proceeded to drape a blanket over the two girls.
Before heading to bed he shut off the television. Will still felt off as he went to bed that night.
