Previously:
I suddenly shivered. I quickly glance at the mansion's top right window. A figure draped in a white cloth disappeared. I weigh up my choices; Freeze to death admiring the scenery or have a warm bed to sleep in for the night.

This Time:
I decide to head into one of the nearby houses. It just so happens that there is no rent for the surrounding neighbourhood of 'Dragneel Mansion', and I have no choice but to inhabit one of these deadly houses.

I try flicking the light but to my avail... "No electricity, huh?" I think aloud. I shuffle through the house, finding my way around. I discover the kitchen and bathroom with no food or running water. I search for the bedroom, only to find it on the second floor near the lounge room.

When walking up the stairs, I trip on some heavy boxes left forgotten from the quick removal services. I injure my ankle and slightly limp up the rest of the flight of stairs.
As I enter the bedroom, I see it empty. No bed and blankets means no warmth for tonight. I sigh and leave the house, carefully avoiding the traps set up around the house (Aka. The boxes).

After the long search through some houses, I end up not having anywhere to stay. "It figures that the neighbourhood with a supposedly haunted mansion has no rent, no electricity, no water and little furniture." I voice my desperation.

I walked to the closest street lamp, because it would be a bit more warmer to sleep underneath it then in the shadows. I trip and land on the cold concrete. I look back at my ankle. It was bruised a dark purple. I tried to stand up only to fall straight back down. I shuffle over to the lamppost. I slowly lift myself up, leaning heavily on the pole. 'I can't walk with this,' I tell myself. 'I need to rest it somewhere.'

I look towards the only house I haven't checked yet, that might have some hope. My last resort is the 'Dragneel Mansion'. If I can hide out there no guards can enter and I can rest my ankle. I slowly hop to the nearest house and rip one of the railings off and use it as a temporary crutch.

Struggling towards the mansion with my fake support, I observe it with closer detail. There were high grass areas where the weeds tickled my thighs. Other times it was all flattened and fur scattered everywhere. The closer I got the more daunting the construction became.

A sparkle caught my eye. Nearly at the mansion, were rose bushes. The red and white petals, looked like gems, amongst the leaves. Their fragrance, drew me in. On a closer study, the flowers were still damp. 'Someone must of water them recently...but who?' I thought.

The porch squeaked underneath my feet. I knocked softly. The door was unlocked. I swallowed and I opened the door.
