Y/n laid on the desk, tapping through their phone. "How'd you get here if you don't have any powers?" Wildcard sat in the chair beside them, hand holding up his chin. "My dad works here. They're probably worried I'm some liability." Y/n lied, their dad was some deadbeat miles away. They could have nightmares about what that man would do if he had this kind of government standing. Or having more than weekends with Y/n and their brother. "Yeah, Tech- no is my dad." Y/n perked up, "Really? That's pretty- really cool. I mean the bragging rights alone." Wildcard smiled, a blush appeared on his face. "yeah I guess it is." Y/n almost saw it go straight to his ego, but didn't mind it. Dumb men also seemed to be their type. The thought was interrupted when water splashed onto their wrist, a shark swam around their phone. Y/n had a lot of fears, most revolving around their powers but water- more specifically sharks were pretty high up. "Freaky.." Sure it was just water, but water was even worse. They glanced up, seeing rust begin to form at the ceiling's end.

With that rust grew grape vines and bramble. The shark chomped beside Y/n's face. An explosion of confetti erupted from the ceiling light, "Rewind!" Wheel's shouted just in time. "Got it!" The room looked at Wildcard. "Dude-" "It wasn't me- I mean it probably was me but I didn't mean it!" He put his hands up. Turns out he was just as defensive as Y/n. Who was glancing around the room, assuring no one was onto them. He noticed their frantic expression, "Guppy- cut it out." The little blonde girl smiled, "Sorry, it was too easy." Y/n sighed lightly. "So you can just do water stuff or?" "My daddy's Shark Boy and my mommy's Lava Girl. So instead of lava I control water, I need to be hydrated for my powers to work" Guppy showed them her water bottle- adorned with stickers and crayon marks. "Nice. Does your dad actually have a finn or..?" "Hmhm!" Guppy took another sip of her water bottle.

"You guys have the coolest powers." Y/n put down their phone, sitting up from the desk. "It's kind of cool I guess.." Wildcard smirked, sitting up with them. "Stop inflating his ego." Guppy complained, before the footsteps approached, "She's coming!" Noodle shouted, they all rushed back to their seats and computers. The vaulted door opened only seconds after. "Hello children, this is Missy. You can go ahead and take a seat up there. Thank you for working so peacefully, your parents will be very proud! Keep it up." Ms. Granada smiled again, before slamming the door shut just as quickly. Missy sat next to Fast Forward, sliding her bag to the floor. And soon came the elongated neck to check the door, something Y/n was still not enjoying the view of. "She's gone!" He announced, they all began to fly around the room in chaos. Y/n flinched at the sudden collapse of structure- or more likely the chair being thrown beside them.

Luckily no one saw the snake form from one of the chair's legs. "Aw you're like a baby kitten." Wildcard said, leaning forward. "You have every power yet you can't be likable." Y/n complained, before opening their phone again. "What do we even do here?" They ask. "Mainly just mess around." Y/n's phone vibrated. They laid back on the desk again with a groan. "What?" Wildcard tilted his head. "Aren't the Heroics going against the aliens now or something?" Y/n shooed him away just as fast as they had slammed their head on the table. "What aliens are you texting?" He asked, just as the newer girl walked over with Wheels. "And this is Wildcard, our leader, he has all the powers. They just turn up randomly." Wheels explained, before turning his wheelchair to Y/n.

"And this is Y/n." They lifted her head to see Missy. "Nice shirt." They said, before slamming it back down. "Thank you..?" Missy gave an awkward smile that was promptly ignored. "So what are your powers?" Wildcard crossed his arms again. "Uh... well.." Missy stuttered, "I've just been chilling with the normal kids.." She scratched the back of her neck. "Same, it's a load of bogus!" Y/n said, climbing up from their mope. "Why would they put a kid with powers with normal kids?" Wildcard asked. "Wasn't my choice." Y/n responded, head high. "Still waiting." Wildcard turned to Missy.

"Oh wait, I get it you don't have powers." Wildcard smirked. "Yep.." Missy said. "Oof. Bet the kids didn't let that go.." Y/n almost grimaced. "Yeah it was harsh..." Missy rubbed her arm. Y/n glanced back to their phone, which was left on the news. "Oh wait- the Heroics are on- can we put it on the TV?" Wildcard turned to Wheels, who was already tapping the buttons on his screen. Everyone in the room seemed to snap back to action, returning to their seats. Their parent's were on the way to the fight. Most were cut off by the alien's, giving them a tough landing. "Hey isn't that guy..?" Noodle squinted, "Not supposed to be there, yeah." Missy pulled out her bracelet, ringing her dad.

The fight wasn't going well, the fire and water couple were taken out, Slo- mo was crying even slower, his dad had gotten captured seconds before. The screen flipped to Tech-no. Y/n glanced over at their desk partner. His eyes were glued to the screen. His rocket shooters had malfunctioned over 100 feet in the air, they saw the color leave Wildcard's face. The alien's claws seemed to break his fall. "He's probably fine- He's a Heroic."Y/n spoke up. "I guess.." He finally looked away from the screen. "He's probably dead." He admitted it. "He's not dead- there is no way he is dead. Besides- There's a room full of little Heroics ready to get him back home by dinner tonight." Y/n told him, "And you can lead them there- Right?"

He smiled. "Thanks." Y/n nodded, something they did anytime they heard that word. They just weren't sure how to react to a 'thanks' or a 'good job'. Maybe it was the schools they went to, or the father they had. "Children, everyone stay in your seats, you will be safe." Ms. Granada's voice boomed through the intercom. "We need to get out of here!" Missy burst up from her seat, "How are they gonna protect us from that?" Noodle asked, "The aliens are coming for us next!" Missy turned to Ojo. "And why would they want us?" Acapella sat back.

"Because we are the only hope!" Missy shouted, "Pfft-" Y/n laughed, but quickly shut themselves up after the class turned to them. "How do you know where they are coming from?" Wildcard asked. "Because Ojo drew it." Missy held up the tablet, "she can draw the future, look!" He rolled his eyes, "She draws what she sees, big deal." Missy swiped through the next drawing, "she drew this 5 minutes before it happened." The room went silent. "so she can draw the future, good for Ojo. Are we done?" He groaned. "So the aliens are going to come in through there..?" Y/n asked, turning around to the supposed vent. "Yes and if we don't go now, we'll all die!" Missy threw her hands in the air, "I crave death." Y/n laid back, putting her feet up. He glanced over at his desk partner before standing up. "Fine. We'll do your plan, but only because I said so."

Facemaker walked outside the vaulted door to the guards, giving Missy the time to lecture the guards. And bend her elbows so tight to put her hands on her hips. She was spreading her legs even farther than her arms. Y/n covered their mouth, stifling their giggles. "Cushions!" Missy shouted, the boys all placed them down. "Pfft- why is she standing like that I can't-!" Y/n wheezed, "we're trying to look intimidating-stop-Pfft" Wildcard elbowed them. Their eyes went wide, the guard had made a run for it. "Wait-the dude!" They blurted out seconds too late, the guard had already reached the alarm. Rewind jumped into action on Missy's command, who in turn sent Wheels to stop the guard. Just as Noodle put on the suit, the ventilation stopped. Two tentacles burst from its absence. Y/n screamed, a row of desks turned to multicolored dust, while the lights began to flicker all the colors of the rainbow.

"Come on!" Wildcard grabbed their hand, rushing them out of the room. Only to meet the others, all surrounded in the Lobby. "This doesn't look so hot..." Y/n said, sweat dripping down their back. Only it definitely wasn't sweat, and definitely wasn't for a classroom of kids. "Up there!" Wildcard pointed to the ceiling, the smallest hatch was built into its top. "Acapella! Can you make us float?" Missy asked, "I can try!" She opened her mouth, the sound barely reaching the kid's ears, it was so low. The guards floated, leaving Noodle to promptly throw them in a line of jumping distances. "Parkour!" He shouted, jumping first in the crowd. Most just nodded and took their turns. Y/n didn't feel too bad stepping on the men of the facility, it was the government's speciality. "Your enjoying this too much!" Wildcard hurried them again, pulling them through the hatch.

Running into the bus transport, Wildcard pulled Y/n in at the last minute. Y/n landed harshly on his chest, he wrapped his arms around their side to check them. "are you okay?" He asks, pulling them up with him. "Aw you care about me." They smiled, it might've sounded like a tease but It melted the young witches heart. "It's not the time!" Guppy shouted, "This transport will only take us outside the base. And there's already armed forces surrounding us." Wheels checked his tablet, "Flower's won't really help right now!" He looked at Wildcard. Y/n gulped, roses the sizes of 1 story buildings sprout from the building, moth's emptied from their buds in different shades of color and size. Most definitely their work, and they didn't love blaming it all on their new crush but there weren't a lot of options. And they were sure he'd find 5 foot moth's as romantic as can be.
