Percy POV

It was 2am when I got the call. I saw the number on my phone and my heart froze, Jason. It had been a month he had been in the hospital, and he kept having ups and downs. Last visit looked good, like he was coming home soon. Part of me couldn't help but cry before I picked it up. Loose tears streaming down my face as I clicked over the answer button.

"Hello."

"Mr. Perseus Jackson?"

"Yes this is him."

"Hi this is Charlotte from New Rome Central Hospital. I'm calling because Annabeth Chase went into Labour early and had to have an emergency C section with the twins."

"What! But she's not due for two months!"

"We are aware. Both children are fine, but they need to be in the NICU in the incubator for another two weeks. We tried to get a hold of Mr. Steetlark, he hung up the phone on us. Ms. Chase is doing fine but will be transferred back to the Praetorship in two days."

"Ok, that's good. Ummm I'll be right down."

"Thank you Mr. Jackson, we look forward to seeing you."

The phone went dead on the other line and I slipped to the floor against the wall letting out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I'm a father?! My kids were born. As confusing as it was knowing I would become a father, the outcome is so clear it's astounding. Of course I would take them, how could I not? I can't separate them, they didn't choose this. Cliff obviously doesn't want his son. Nico was already in talks with a realtor about closing on a house. With them being in the hospital for another few weeks I could get a room ready for them by then. We decided to get the real house even if we didn't take the babies, but this was all the more reason to.

Nico is rich, so he just is going to pay for the house and Jason and I would pay rent. Will and him are excited about the idea of children in the house, I'm almost sure Nico has registry at the baby store in down town New Rome and is just waiting for my signal to buy it all. I shot him a quick text.

Percy: Hey Death boy, two bundles of joy just made their way into the world. How fast can you get that house and a nursery ready?

Neeks: 4 phone calls and a black Amex number and I can have it done in a week! Oh my gods I'm so excited! I gotta text Will! Don't you worry about a thing, I got it covered! Real quick.... for 1 or 2?

Percy: 2

Neeks: Thank gods! Ok just text me the measurements of the babies when you get them and I'll order the clothes.

Percy: Will do, I'm headed to the hospital now.

Neeks: Good I sent Jason some food, he should have extra if you are hungry.

Percy: Roger that.

After the brief exchange I went to my room to get ready, I was going to meet my children, fuck... my children. I was both happy and extremely terrified. I also knew who else I had to see while I was there. Everything inside me wanted to never see her again, but I had to.

I decided seeing Jason first was the right call. Not only did he always know what to say, but Nico sent him 100$ worth of sushi that he would never be able to finish. It was wonderful to see him.

"So the babies were born, they are in a room just above you." I dipped the California roll in some soy sauce with wasabi.

"I heard, Reyna was the one who brought her in and she came and told me right away" Jason was picking at the ginger as he spoke, the patch over his left eye.
