Layla drove in her little red car for hours on end passing by small towns and open fields covered with green grass. Other than that it was just open road.
Hours have gone by and Layla looks down. It's 3:26pm already yet it seemed like only an hour has gone by. As she comes up on a grassy hill she looks to see a carriage type thing. "Melvin?" She whispered to herself. Melvin was the Once-lers donkey. Layla put her small red car in park and stepped out.
Layla stroked Melvin's head gently before looking up at the forest full of truffula trees. "Woah..." Layla gasped. It was beautiful, all the bright leaves of the truffula trees with the colours of red, pink, orange, and yellow, the clear blue river running through the forest. It looked alive! And it was. A small brown bear tugged at the bottom of Laylas pant leg. Layla looked down at the small creature. "Oh well, hello there." She said before picking the creature up from the ground and cradling it like a baby. Layla looked back at the forest below and began to walk towards some of the bears who seemed to be gathered together.
When she got to the bottom she noticed what they were standing around. It was a tree stump. Layla put the small bear on the ground and looked around at the creatures. It wasn't just bears, there were big orange birds and small orange fish. It wasn't long that Layla could try to figure out why the fish were casually walking on land before rain clouds began to take shape into a weird formation, the thunder shook the ground. The animals scattered to hide as Layla took a step back and put her arm in front of her face. The wind roared and a giant lightning bolt struck the tree stump before the sky cleared and a small orange thing popped out of the tree stump.
The orange creature came up to about 3 feet tall and had a large yellow mustache and eyebrows. He looked upset. "You!" He shouted pointing at Layla. "What happened to this tree?" He asked. "I don't know sir!" Layla said. "You sure?" He asked again. "Yes. I just got here." She explained. "Hmm, okay." He said. Layla looked away for a quick second and looked back but when she did the small creature was gone.
"AHO!" A scream came from the forest. Layla looked around and saw Once-ler on the ground and the orange creature stood on the tree that was chopped down. Layla ran over. "Woah! What's going on?" She asked. Once-ler looked up over his shoulder and saw Layla standing above him. "Layla!" Once-ler laughed, getting up from the ground, he was instantly a foot taller than her. He embraced her and lifted her of the ground. "Put me down!" Layla laughed. He obeyed and put her on the ground.
Ahem! Layla and Once-ler looked at the short orange monster. "Wait who even are you?" Once-ler asked. "I- I'm the Lorax. I speak for the trees." He said flabbergasted. "Yeah I like little orange fucker better." Layla said. Once-ler laughed. "Listen! You can't go chopping down the trees. The animals who live here need them." The Lorax said. "Listen you furry meatloaf I'm going to chop down as many trees as I need! News flash not going anywhere!" He said before entering his house, slamming the door. "AH!" Once-ler yelped from inside and Layla noticed the Lorax was gone again. "What the fuck" Layla thought.
